BitFortune’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security

I begin with the most significant factor in determining whether a casino is worth playing at or not: player safety. My BitFortune review inspects the casino’s licence, responsible gambling measures, and security features.

Responsible gambling in BitFortune

I went through BitFortune’s Responsible Gambling page and looked through the settings in my player profile to find the casino providing the following RG resources:

• Tips and advice
• A self-assessment test 
• Links to Help organizations
• Self-exclusions and cooling-off periods
• A link to filtering software
  

It’s a good collection os useful resources, but the criticism here is that BitFortune doesn’t provide enough tools. The only tool players have is the self-exclusion/cooling-off setting in their player account. Players are not given the option of setting limits for deposits, losses, wagers, or session lengths; there are no reality checks or a session timer. BitFortune has some work to do in that regard.

What makes BitFortune safe

I went through BitFortune’s website trying to uncover the casino’s security features, and these are what I found:

BitFortune articulates enough about its security to confirm its website’s reliability. Providing players with a 2FA option for their accounts is great. I’d like to know more details about some of the security features, and I’d like to know that there is a Data Protection Officer (I saw no mention of one at BitFortune). I also saw no mention of fair gaming or Random Number Generators (RNGs), which I prefer to see.

Not much is missing from BitFortune, other than a few responsible gambling tools, when I inspect the casino’s safety.

Bonuses and offers at BitFortune

Casino bonuses can sometimes make or break a player’s decision to join a casino. Sometimes they don’t matter at all. Here, we’ll determine how much BitFortune’s bonus program is worth by evaluating its welcome bonus, regular offers, tournaments, and loyalty program. 

BitFortune’s welcome bonus

BitFortune is one of the few online casinos in Canada that does not offer casino welcome bonuses of any kind. Much of the rest of this review will determine whether that is a flex by the casino, or it just being cheap.

Regular bonuses

Consistency matters, and BitFortune remains consistent with this: like the welcome bonus, there are no regular bonuses available to players in Canada.

Promotion and tournaments

Here’s where BitFortune begins to show up. The casino offers a weekly and monthly race, with prize pools of $20,000 and $75,000, respectively. Players can opt into challenges, typically involving a reward for being the first to hit a particular multiplier on a specific game. 

Additionally, BitFortune holds a raffle that players can purchase tickets for (during my BitFortune review, the prize was a Lamborghini). Players are also given a referral link, which can earn them up to 25% commission from every player that registers through it. 

So, while there are no network tournaments, there are a few in-house ones and various challenges and promotional opportunities otherwise.

BitFortune’s VIP/loyalty program

BitFortune seems to save its bonuses for the VIP casino bonuses included in its loyalty program, which the casino claims are “tailored… to help you get the most out of your gaming experience.” The program works over 5 ranks, and provides players with weekly and monthly bonuses, along with an instant rakeback and much more:

It’s hard to give something that doesn’t exist a score, and that’s what happens here with BitFortune and its bonus program.

Payment methods at BitFortune in Canada

Cashed doen’t accept any fiat casino payment methods in Canada, but the casino does facilitate players’ purchase of crypto (Tether currency). This means that players cannot withdraw with fiat methods. These are the methods BitFortune accepts for crypto purchases:

Minimum deposit and withdrawal processing times

The minimum deposit at BitFortune depends on the cryptocurrency being used, but we can estimate that the amount is generally around the $30 minimum required for fiat purchases of cryptocurrency. It’s a fine amount, but not low in any way.

Because BitFortune only supports cryptocurrencies, withdrawals must be approved by the casino before being broadcast to the blockchain. Together, this process usually takes minutes to hours.

As the wheels of this BitFortune review spin along, we come to the section with the most spins: the action of the review that assesses the casino’s games. I’ll look at the casino’s exclusive games, online slots, live casino, game shows, and providers.

Exclusive games at BitFortune

BitFortune offers a decent collection of original games, exclusive to the casino. Nothing was too exciting, as many were versions of traditional casino games, but Dragon’s Tower was a fun crash game worth trying out.

Recommended slots you can play at BitFortune

More than 8,000 online slots are available at BitFortune in Canada. It’s packed with quality games and hit titles. Players can filter for bonus buy slots, jackpots, megaways slots, bonus eligible slots, and new releases. I’d love to see the casino add filters for cluster slots, cascading slots, high RTP slots, and other categories.

A massive live casino selection is found within BitFortune. The collection includes nearly 275 blackjack tables, almost 120 roulette tables, and over 110 baccarat tables from leading providers, like Pragmatic Play and Evolution. Players will find that sic bo, poker, and dragon tiger are all well-represented at the casino as well.

Bitfortune has a menu of nearly 40 game shows. The collection is packed with hits and exciting titles, including some of my favourites in Treasure Island, Dice City, and Busted or Bailed.

Just over 60 game providers are cited on BitFortune’s website. The roster includes major studios, like Habanero, Relax Gaming, Nolimit City, VoltEnt, Games Global, Big Time Gaming, Ezugi, Thunderkick, and Playtech. It’s a strong roster, even if it isn’t the largest.

User experience at BitFortune

In assessing the casino’s user experience, my BitFortune review evaluates its customer support, website design and feel, and mobile capabilities.

The FAQ page on BitFortune is only accessible via the live chat. The live chat itself is screened by an AI chatbot that worked much better than I have experienced at other casinos. Still, I had to trick the bot to get the answers I was looking for. 

I never got through to a live agent either, so I have no idea whether there are any, but if there are, they are hard to get a hold of. BitFortune has a support email address, as well as multiple social media accounts.

User navigation at BitFortune

BitFortune is nicely designed, with a collapsible sidebar with many of the menu items players will need. The design is great, and I love how the casino makes use of filters to organize its slots and live casino, even if I wish the casino added more filters to improve its organization. 

It’s a very intuitive website to use, though, by any standard. 

BitFortune’s mobile experience

BitFortune offers players a mobile experience that is essentially on par with any of the best mobile casinos in Canada. Fully optimized, players will have no issues playing on their phones or tablets.

Players will not be able to download a mobile app, though, and fast-track their access to the casino, as BitFortune does not have an app.

Very little is wrong with BitFortune’s user experience, other than it being easier to reach a live chat agent.

Popularity of BitFortune

Looking at online sources, such as TrustPilot, Reddit, and social media platforms, my BitFortune review arrives at a general sense of the public’s opinion about the casino.

It’s a flex

As soon as my BitFortune review found the casino without a welcome bonus, I knew the casino needed to prove itself greatly in other ways. The lack of a bonus was either a flex or a sign of cheapness.

Now that I’m through the review, I’d call it more of a flex than anything else: the casino just has a fortune of other reasons to be excited.

The casino’s loyalty program makes up for the lack of regular bonuses, as BitFortune tailors the bonuses to player habits, which is great. 

Now, you really need to be a crypto user to get the most out of BitFortune, or the casino will turn you into one, but either way, that means fast withdrawals.

Those are the casino’s two greatest weaknesses: the lack of welcome bonus and the (nearly) crypto-only requirements to play.

What a library, though! I’d flex too with a library like this one: loaded with exciting games and jammed with a massive live casino. 

So, even while taking massive hits to its score, my BitFortune review still concludes with a strong 64.5/100 final rating.
