29Black Review
To keep our casino reviews consistent and thorough, we follow a strict methodology that is described on our ‘How We Review Casinos‘ page. I encourage you to read it. The methodology sees me divide this 29Black review into six sections:
- 29Black’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
- Bonuses and offers from 29Black
- Payment methods accepted by 29Black
- 29Black’s game selection
- The user experience at 29Black
- Popularity of 29Black
29Black’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
When readers visit CanadaCasino for the best online casinos in Canada, they do so because they can trust that those casinos are safe to play at. Our reviews always begin with safety to ensure we never include unsafe or questionable operators. If a casino isn’t licensed, it isn’t getting reviewed. So, that’s where I start this 29Black review, by uncovering the casino’s licence, evaluating its responsible gambling page, and assessing its security.
Legal gambling age
The legal gambling age in Canada is 19 years old, although Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec require individuals to be 18. Online casinos must verify every player’s age to prevent minors from gambling.
Provinces and territories are regulated provincially. Ontario’s gambling market, for example, is regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
Read more on our Licensing page.
29Black’s licences
Tucked neatly within the text on the website’s footer lies 29Black’s licence number and link to its verification:
- Anjouan Gaming – Licence No. ALSI-202411007-FI1
Responsible gambling in 29Black
29Black provides players with the following Responsible Gambling resources:
- A commitment to promote safe gambling
- Basic advice
- Daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits
- Self-excusions and account closures
- Suggestions for self-assessment tests
- Links to Help organizations
- Suggestions for parental control filters
I really don’t understand Responsible Gambling pages that suggest things like self-assessment tests and parental control filters, but don’t provide the link to those suggestions. It’s such a basic step to take. I do it myself when I publish these articles. For the page not to include those is simply lazy.
I call it how it is. Sorry, not sorry.
29Black is lazy in this regard. At least it provides multiple suggestions. Sometimes, it’s just the one.
The casino does a few other good things here, too. Having deposit limits is great, as are self-exclusions and account closures. The page is clearly written and covers many bases.
Still, 29Black lacks other RG tools, such as wager, loss, and session length limits. I want to see reality checks and session timers as well.
Addiction Risk
Casino games are intended to be fun for all players, but if they do not exercise safe play, gambling can become addictive and lead to harmful consequences.
We encourage players to look out for signs that might indicate problem gambling:
– Chasing losses
– Money-borrowing to gamble
– Extended playing times
– Wagering with more money than intended
– Hiding your gambling activity from other people
If you recognize any of these signs, we recommend reaching out to any of the following organizations:
– ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600)
– Canada Safety Council
– The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)
What makes 29Black safe
I always read through essentially every page of a casino’s website, searching for details about its security. This is what I found during my 29Black review:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Internal privacy protocols
- Regular security audits
- Firewalls and DDoS protection
- Secure servers located in reputable jurisdictions
- Website monitoring for suspicious activity
- Detailed Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and AML Policy
I love seeing all the details that 29Black articulates. The casino does a good job of being transparent and covering its bases.
That said, I can think of a few things I should have seen but didn’t. Is there a Data Protection Officer? Do games use Random Number Generators (RNGs)? I also wish the casino offered two-factor authentication for player account access.
My rating of 29Black’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
More responsible gambling tools would improve 29Black, but the casino is safe for players in Canada.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Licences | 7/7 | Anjouan Gaming is a solid regulator, and 29Black readily shares its licence information. |
| Responsible Gambling | 4.5/7 | The Responsible Gambling page at 29Black could use adding links, but more significantly, additional RG tools. |
| Security | 5/6 | 29Black provides many details about its security, and players can certainly feel safe at the casino. I still want to see a couple more details, though (2FA protection? RNGs in use? A Data Protection Officer?). |
| More tools |
|---|
| Its licence and security are excellent, but 29Black could use more RG tools, which is why the casino ends up with a 16.5/20 rating in this section. |
Bonuses and offers at 29Black
With the casino being safe, we can now feel quite comfortable investigating 29Black’s casino bonuses. I’ll inspect the casino’s welcome bonus, regular offers, tournaments, and loyalty program.
Bonus risks
Players should be aware that bonuses come with wagering requirements that must be satisfied to acquire the bonus money. Often, those requirements mean players must bet the bonus amount 30 or 40 or more times over before they can withdraw it.
Players should take note that over 80% of players lose money with casino bonuses.
29Black’s welcome bonus
I’m used to seeing online casinos offer a collection of casino welcome bonuses that last over a player’s first few deposits. Not so with 29Black’s welcome offer.

New players can claim a 200% bonus of up to $2,000 and 50 free spins with their first deposit of at least $20.
The bonus money and free spins are subject to 60x wagering requirements, and players have 7 days to meet them.
Ok, those are high. 60x is twice the amount I consider “good,” so these terms are far from that. The question is whether the 200% match makes up for it. The 7-day window to satisfy the wagering doesn’t help the case.
Regular bonuses
Whenever players deposit at 29Black, they are able to claim a 50% bonus up to $1,000. The bonus comes with 60x wagering requirements that must be met in 7 days.
Players can also activate the Reel Blaze promotion that awards players with 10 free spins (60x wagering) for every $500 wagered.
Promotion and tournaments
29Black has a referral program, which rewards players with a 100% match of the friend’s qualifying deposit (minimum of $20) up to $50. The only requirements are that the friend must wager at least 1x their deposit. Players are limited to 10 referrals.
I did not find any tournaments available during my 29Black review.
29Black’s VIP/loyalty program
29Black’s loyalty program is loaded with VIP casino bonuses. What’s great is that players begin reaping the rewards of the program from the first level. Here are the specs:
| Copper | Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum | Diamond | Obsidian | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Required lifetime deposits | $500 | $2,000 | $5,000 | $10,000 | $25,000 | $50,000 | $100,000 |

My rating of bonuses available at 29Black
29Black’s poor wagering requirements hold the casino back from offering a truly excellent bonus program.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome Bonus | 4.5/7 | 29Black welcome bonus consists of a massive match with nearly equally massive terms. |
| Regular Offers | 2.5/4 | It’s great that there are always bonuses available to players at 29Black, but again, the wagering requirements are unfriendly. |
| VIP/Loyalty Program | 4/4 | 29Black has a loaded loyalty program with numerous benefits. |
| 60 black? |
|---|
| 29Black would have a great bonus program if the wagering requirements weren’t so high, but the casino still scores an 11/15 rating. |
Payment methods at 29Black in Canada
29Black accepts only the most popular casino payment methods in Canada, and most of them for both depositing and withdrawing:
| Payment Method | Min Deposit | Max Withdrawal | Average Deposit Time | Average Withdrawal Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Interac | $20 | $9,999 | Instant | 3-6 banking days |
| Visa | $20 | $10,000 | Instant | 2-5 banking days |
| Mastercard | $20 | $10,000 | Instant | 2-5 banking days |
| Apple Pay | $20 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Google Pay | $20 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
Financial risks
This is a reminder that gambling involves real money. Gambling involves financial risk. Casinos do not operate without being favoured to win, which means most players lose over time.
Remember to set limits before playing and only gamble what you can afford to lose.
Minimum deposit and withdrawal processing times
The minimum deposit at 29Black is $20, and the minimum withdrawal is $30. Both are fair amounts.
29Black claims to process withdrawals within 5 banking days, although they can take longer, depending on the banking method and time of year. That’s about the industry average.
Cryptocurrency accepted at 29Black in Canada
The cryptocurrencies 29Black accepts in Canada for both depositing and withdrawing are as follows:
The dangers of using cryptocurrency
Players should note that using cryptocurrency comes with risks. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile; their values fluctuate frequently and rapidly. It is not stable nor guaranteed, and the Government of Canada, the Bank of Canada, and other financial institutions do not back crypto. This leaves users vulnerable to losing large amounts of money.
We strongly recommend setting financial limits and investing only what you can afford to lose.
Important information to know when withdrawing from 29Black:
- All deposits must be wagered at least once before a withdrawal can be made.
- Bonus wagering must be met.
- Players must provide their KYC documents before a withdrawal will be processed. Those include the following:
- Picture of your credit card (front and back, with the middle 8 digits and CVV/CVC code hidden)
- Bank statement
- Copy of personal identification document
- Proof of address
- Proof of ownership of any other payment method used on the account
Step-by-step guide on how to withdraw from 29Black
- Click on the yellow wallet button at the top right.
- Select “Withdraw.”
- Enter the withdrawal amount.
- Select the payment method.
- Input any additional payment information required.
- Click “Withdraw.”
My rating of 29Black’s payment methods
More fiat payment methods would be nice, but 29Black gives players enough options to satisfy most players.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Payment Options | 4.5/7 | The selection of payment methods at 29Black is a little narrow, but they’re all popular forms of payment, and most are accepted for withdrawals. |
| Minimum Deposit & Payment Processing Times | 3/4 | The minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts at 29Black are solid, and withdrawal processing is about average. |
| Cryptocurrency | 2.5/4 | 29Black accepts popular cryptocurrencies in Canada for depositing and withdrawing. |
| Enough options |
|---|
| I would love to see more payment options at 29Black, but it probably does accept “enough” of them to satisfy the majority of players; hence, the casino earns a 10/15 rating. |
29Black’s games selection
29Black has nearly 5,000 casino games, and here, my 29Black review evaluates that library by assessing the casino’s online slots, live table games, game shows, and its game providers.

Casino games warning
Players should keep in mind the fact that casino games are games of chance. While licensed games are tested for fairness by third parties, they are also weighted in favour of the casino. It’s considered “fair” that the casino is favoured to win, and it shouldn’t be surprising to hear, therefore, that most players lose over time. Players should remember that casino games are a form of entertainment, not a way to make money.
Recommended slots you can play at 29Black
While more than 4,500 online slots are listed at 29Black, it’s hard to tell how many are not available in my region, but I can say, to give you an idea, that of the 370 or so bonus buy slots in the library, about 210 were available to me. Of the more than 110 instant games listed, only 2 were not available to me.
29Black has a few game categories, such as those mentioned above, but not many more than those, which is disappointing. I’d like to see better organization of the library.
What 29Black does have is hit games, though. Plenty of them. Here are a few I’d suggest trying:
- Tiki Bee Bar
- Soju Bomb
- Magic Fruits
- Aviator
Live dealer tables at 29Black in Canada
Nearly 300 live casino games are listed in 29Black’s library, but not all of them were available in my region (in fact, it was definitely less than half). Still, I had quality options for live blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. There were no poker tables available in my region, though, so that was frustrating.

Game shows at 29Black
29Black has a good selection of game shows available in Canada, although there are more games available in other regions. Players will recognize titles like Treasure Island, Dice City, and Sweet Bonanza Candyland.

Popular game providers 29Black works with
While there are only 30 of them, Wazdan, Spribe, Pragmatic Play, Skywind Group, Habanero, Mascot, Octoplay, and NetEnt are some of the game providers partnered with 29Black in Canada. It’s a strong lineup.
My rating of 29Black’s games selection
Too many games are not available in my region to truly appreciate 29Black’s game library.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Games Variety | 4.5/7 | 29Black has a great selection of slots, but I do wish there were more from the library available in my region. I’d like to see exclusive games, too. |
| Live Casino Experience | 2.5/4 | There’s less than meets the eye in 29Black’s live casino library, but in a different region, it would be excellent. |
| Game Providers | 1.5/4 | While the lineup of game providers is strong at 29Black, there are only 30 of them, which isn’t many. |
| Should I move? |
|---|
| Too many games in 29Black’s library were not available to me in my region. More organization would be nice, as well: 8.5/15. |
User experience at 29Black
Here, my 29Black review turns its attention to the user experience. I look at the casino’s customer support, navigation on its website, and its performance on mobile devices.
29Black’s customer support
29Black has an excellent FQ page with a lot of helpful content. If that doesn’t work, use the 24/7 live chat, which worked well for me.
On the Contact page, 29Black claims to respond to emails within 15 minutes. Don’t believe them. I tested this, and did not receive a response until the following day.
The casino also has a pair of social media accounts on Telegram and Facebook. The casino does promote an Instagram account as well, but the link the casino provides was broken, and I could not manually find the casino on Instagram, so the casino must have deactivated the account (but has not updated the website).
| Contact | Average Answer Time | |
|---|---|---|
| [email protected] | 15 minutes | |
| live chat | 24/7 on the website | 3-7 minutes |
| Telegram | https://t.me/+Bm-FsAz_L_I5MDc0 | 25 hours |
| https://www.facebook.com/29BlackFB | 24 hours |
User navigation at 29Black
29Black has a fine interface that’s easy to get around in. You’ll have no problems finding rooms or looking up Terms of Service. That doesn’t mean the website doesn’t have its issues.
I’ve already mentioned the lack of organization in the game library. While my experience with the live chat solved my queries, though, the process was taxing. After asking a question, of course, I had to wait, but the website doesn’t allow me to peruse the pages while the chat box is open. Instead, I have to close it down to surf the site.
Then, when I am alerted to a response, I return to the chat, but the conversation is no longer in order, and I have to search for where my question was asked and the response given. It’s very odd. It shuffles the conversation up to earlier. It’s incredibly frustrating.
29Black mobile experience
While 29Black doesn’t have a mobile app the way most of the best mobile casinos in Canada do, players can add the casino to their mobile browser’s home page. It isn’t exactly the same as an app, but it’s the next best thing.
Needless to say, 29Black’s website is fully optimized for transition from desktop to mobile devices.

My rating of 29Black’s user experience
29Black needs to fix its live chat experience, but otherwise produces a pretty solid user experience.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Customer Support | 5.5/7 | Helpful 24/7 live chat and FAQ page, but the email response isn’t what it claims to be. |
| User Navigation | 2/4 | The interface is fine until you need to use the 24/7 chat support. Also, the game library needs more organization. |
| Mobile Experience | 3/4 | Players can save 29Black to their mobile home page or just access the casino on their mobile device on its fully optimized website. |
| Solid, but with frustrations |
|---|
| The live chat experience was frustrating at 29Black, but the user experience is otherwise worth a solid 10.5/15 rating. |
Popularity of 29Black
The final stage of my 29Black review sees me turn to the public. Here, I search online chat forums, user review and social media platforms to get a sense of how the public feels about 29Black.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Player Reputation | 3.5/10 | I found only one review for 29Black on TrustPilot, and it wasn’t a good one. That’s a pretty minute sample size, though. |
| Market Visibility | 2.5/10 | I couldn’t find 29Black anywhere online besides the one review on TrustPilot and its Telegram and Facebook accounts. |
| Work, work, work |
|---|
| 29Black has a lot of work to do to not simply improve its reputation, but also get its people talking about it: 6/20. |
Never on 29-red, anyways
I never put my chips on red. Certainly not with 29Black sitting here.
The casino starts your journey with a banger of a welcome bonus. The 200% match is awesome, and the $2,000 max equals that feeling. I just wish the wagering requirements weren’t so steep.
Players are well-taken care of after the welcome, too, with regular bonuses and a loyalty program that is loaded with benefits.
The banking options are pretty good, as well, with credit/debit cards, e-wallets, and a list of popular cryptocurrencies all accepted.
Licensed by Anjouan Gaming, players can rely on 29Black. Its responsible gambling page could use more tools, though.
In the end, my 29Black review concludes with a 62.5/100 final rating.
