My Big Boost review is consistent with all our casino reviews because every review utilizes the same methodology, the one we outline in detail on our ‘How We Review Casinos‘ page. Reviews are divided into these manageable sections:
- Big Boost’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
- Bonuses and offers from Big Boost
- Payment methods accepted by Big Boost
- Big Boost’s game selection
- The user experience at Big Boost
- Popularity of Big Boost
Big Boost’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
Starting with player safety, my Big Boost review uncovers the casino’s licence, rates its responsible gambling page, and considers its security features.
| Legal gambling age |
|---|
| The legal gambling age in most Canadian provinces and territories is 19 years old (in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, though, it is 18), meaning online casino operators must verify every player’s age to ensure minors do not gamble. Each province and territory is regulated provincially. For example, gambling in Ontario is regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Visit our Licensing page for more information. |
Big Boost’s licences
Finding a casino with a licence from a Canadian regulator is always a good sign. I found the information and a link to the licence’s verification at the bottom of the casino’s website:
- Kahnawake Gaming Commission – Licence No. 00913
Responsible gambling in Big Boost
Big Boost has a quality Responsible Gambling page that includes all of the following:
- Basic responsible gambling advice
- Tool for deposit, loss, wager, and session length limits
- Access to game and transaction history
- Links to help organizations
- Self-assessment test
- Time-out and self-exclusion periods
- Links to parental control software
The casino offers a lot of resources. It offers all the basics and then some. The page says that you can “manage these tools directly from your account settings,” but when I looked to find those, I could not.
I approached customer support about this, to which they said I could not set the limits, but that they could, and once they did, I could modify them from my account. I then asked them to set session length limits, which were not listed as an option on Big Boost’s responsible gambling page. I was surprised when I was told they would set those for me.
I then went to try to modify them, but I could not. I went back to support, and they gave me a link that brought me to an account settings area where I could change responsible gambling settings, but not session length limits.
I asked again and requested an explanation of how to navigate there without using the link.
Because I had asked for session length limits, though, which I was told had been set for me, I could not modify those settings. Deposit, loss, and wager limits, on the other hand, once those are set, I can modify them.
Then, it turned out that actually, no, the agent had not set session length limits for me, and that those were not an option after all.
Ugh. That’s going to cost Big Boost in the user experience section of this review, for sure, but the responsible gambling resources and tools are, ultimately, excellent, despite missing session length limits and, as well, reality checks.
| Addiction risk: play responsibly |
|---|
| While casino games are meant to be fun, gambling can become addictive and lead to harmful consequences if players do not play responsibly. With this in mind, we encourage players to look out for signs that might indicate problem gambling: – Chasing losses – Playing for longer than intended – Gambling with more money than intended – Disguising gambling activity from other people – Borrowing money to gamble If you recognize any of these signs, consider contacting any of the following help organizations: – ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600) – Canada Safety Council – Gambling Therapy |
What makes Big Boost safe
Going through Big Boost’s website, I found that the casino employs the following measures to keep its players safe:
- SSL encryption
- PCI DSS compliant
- DMCA protected
- All games featured on Big Boost are tested and certified by independent testing laboratories to ensure fairness and accuracy of the Random Number Generators (RNGs) and Return To Player (RTP) percentages.
- Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy
Big Boost has a lot of badges in its footer. That’s a good thing. The website is clearly monitored and protected, and the casino is trustworthy. Still, I like to see the option of having two-factor authentication for my account. I also like to see a Data Protection Officer and separate AML and KYC policies, which Big Boost does not appear to have.
My rating of Big Boost’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
Big Boost is a casino that players in Canada can trust and feel safe playing at.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Licences | 7/7 | Big Boost has a strong licence from a Canadian regulator and prominently shares this information on its website. |
| Responsible Gambling | 6.5/7 | Big Boost’s Responsible Gambling page might come with a few frustrations, but the casino offers players almost everything an RG page should. |
| Security | 5/6 | I’d like to see a couple of things added, but Big Boost is certainly a well-secure and trustworthy casino. |
| Missing only under a microscope |
|---|
| Big Boost has done a great job of being transparent and taking the steps necessary to ensure the safety of its players. The casino is only missing items if you use a magnifying glass (which I do); hence, it earns a very strong 18.5/20 rating. |
Bonuses and offers at Big Boost
Let’s check out the casino bonuses, shall we?! This is when I get to turn my Big Boost review to the casino’s welcome bonus, regular bonuses, tournaments, and VIP program.
| Bonus risks |
|---|
| Players should be aware that bonuses come with wagering requirements that must be met to gain the bonus money. Often, they require players to bet the bonus amount 30 or 40 or more times over. Over 80% of players lose money with casino bonuses. |
Big Boost’s welcome bonus
What do you think Big Boost offers its new players with its casino welcome bonus? Ya, it’s obvious: a big boost, of course.

New players can claim a 100% welcome bonus of up to $1,000 and 250 free spins with their first deposit of at least $20.
The free spins are credited 50 per day for 5 days on Gates of Olympus and must be used within a day of being credited. Same with the bonus money: it must be used within one day. Both the bonus money and free spins have 35x wagering requirements, as well.
It is a nice big boost, in fact. The offer comes with a great match percentage, doubling your first deposit. Then, players get the 50 free spins per day for 5 days – on Gates of Olympus, no less – to really stack the fun. The 35x wagering is on the friendly side of industry average, too.
Sure, the “must be used in 24 hours” clause is kind of strict, but it never takes as long as you’d think to play as much as you need to.
Regular bonuses
I found one regular bonus available from Big Boost, and it is a cashback bonus:
- Every Wednesday between 6 pm and 9 pm, players can receive 10% cashback with 10x wagering requirements. The cashback amount is based on net gaming revenue (excluding RNG table games). Players must claim the cashback within 24 hours (by Thursday at 9 pm).
I can’t complain when a casino has cashback bonuses, but if all Big Boost has for its players is the one bonus available for 3 hours a week, I also can’t be very impressed.
Promotion and tournaments
I found a year-long tournament running during my Big Boost review, a network Drops & Wins promotion from Pragmatic Play with $40,000,000 in prizes and a $560,000 weekly prize pool.
Beyond that, the casino had a long list of tournaments associated with Pragmatic Play games, like Rabbit Garden or Big Bass Splash, that included more Drops & Wins opportunities.
Big Boost’s VIP/loyalty program
No mention is made of a VIP or loyalty program on Big Boost’s website, so I asked support about it and was told that a VIP program does exist. Players who qualify are notified by email, but the agent did not know how players qualify or what the benefits of the program are. The program allegedly exists, but it’s shrouded in mystery.
My rating of bonuses available at Big Boost
Enjoy Big Boost’s welcome bonus, because the offerings after that are slim and far between.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome Bonus | 5.5/7 | Big Boost’s welcome bonus lives up to the casino’s name, even if I’d like to see it last over more deposits and give a bit more time to play the rewards. |
| Regular Offers | 1/4 | The cashback bonus is great, and there are plenty of Drops & Wins opportunities from Big Boost, but where are the reload bonuses? Is there never a free spin to be had? I’d like to see some in-house tournaments, as well. |
| VIP/Loyalty Program | 0.5/4 | Apparently, Big Boost has a VIP program, but there’s no mention of it on the casino’s website, and support agents know nothing about it. |
| One big boost only |
|---|
| Big Boost provides one of those to new players, but not much else afterwards, resulting in a 7/15 rating. |
Payment methods at Big Boost in Canada
Big Boost has a slightly limited menu of accepted casino payment methods in Canada. Sure, it accepts the most popular providers (at least for depositing anyway), but only accepting one e-wallet and for withdrawals only is not a lot of options. These are the fiat payment methods Big Boost accepts in Canada:
| Payment Method | Min Deposit | Max Withdrawal | Average Deposit Time | Average Withdrawal Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Interac | $20 | $10,000 | Instant | 4-6 banking days |
| Visa | $20 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Mastercard | $20 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Flexepin | $20 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| MuchBetter | N/A | $20,000 | N/A | 2-4 banking days |
| Bank transfer | N/A | $25,000 | N/A | 4-6 banking days |
| Financial risks |
|---|
| This is a reminder that gambling involves real money and, therefore, financial risk. Casinos do not open their doors without being favoured to win, which means most players lose over time. This is a reminder to set limits before playing and only gamble what you can afford to lose. |
Minimum deposit and withdrawal processing times
The minimum deposit amount at Big Boost is $20, as is the minimum withdrawal. Both are good minimums.
Big Boost claims they process withdrawal requests within 24 hours, and that the transaction can then be processed immediately or take an additional 3 to 5 banking days before the money is in your account, depending on your payment method.
Cryptocurrency accepted at Big Boost in Canada
Big Boost accepts a variety of cryptocurrencies in Canada, some for depositing, some for withdrawing, and others for both.
- Shiba Inu (deposit only)
- Solana (deposit only)
- Bitcoin Cash (withdrawal only)
| The dangers of using cryptocurrency |
|---|
| Players should note that using cryptocurrency comes with risks. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, with their values oftentimes fluctuating rapidly. The Government of Canada, the Bank of Canada, or other financial institutions do not back crypto; it is not stable nor guaranteed, which leaves users vulnerable to losing large amounts of money. We strongly recommend setting financial limits and investing only what you can afford to lose. |
Step-by-step guide on how to withdraw from Big Boost
- Click the orange wallet icon in the top right.
- Select the “Withdrawal” tab.
- Choose your banking method.
- Enter any required information related to the chosen banking method.
- Click “Continue.”
- Enter the withdrawal amount.
- Click “Withdraw…”
Other important information to know when withdrawing from Big Boost:
- Once you reach certain limits, Big Boost will request that you verify your account. Account verification can delay withdrawals, although the casino views verification as a high priority, ensuring a quick process. Big Boost will ask for the following documents to complete its verification process:
- Proof of identity: passport, ID card, or driver’s licence
- Proof of address: a recent utility or bank statement
- Proof of ownership of the payments used on the account
My rating of Big Boost’s payment methods
Big Boost does a good job to provide well–rounded banking services for its players, even if it has some limitations.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Payment Options | 4.5/7 | Big Boost accepts a good variety of payment methods, but not for both depositing and withdrawing. |
| Minimum Deposit & Payment Processing Times | 3/4 | The minimum amounts are low at Big Boost, and the processing times are around the average. |
| Cryptocurrency | 3/4 | Big Boost accepts a variety of cryptocurrencies, but it would be better if every currency were accepted for both depositing and withdrawing. |
| Why split? |
|---|
| My biggest question for Big Boost’s banking services is ‘Why split the deposits and withdrawals?’ If players could withdraw with all of the methods they can deposit with and vice versa, this 10.5/15 score would be much better. |
Big Boost’s games selection
What’s Big Boost’s game library like, though? In this section of the review, I turn my critical eye towards the casino’s online slots, live tables, game shows, and the providers that provide them all.

| Casino games warning |
|---|
| Players need to keep in mind that casino games are games of chance. While licensed games are tested by third parties for fairness, they are also weighted in favour of the casino. The house always has an edge. Most players, therefore, lose over time. It’s why we like to remind players that casino games are a form of entertainment, not a source of income. |
Recommended slots you can play at Big Boost
Categories for crash games, jackpots, and bonus buy slots help organize Big Boost’s large selection of online slots. Those categories are complemented by additional categories for cluster pays, classic fruit machines, Rome & Egypt themed games, and other helpful groupings that can be found on the home page and main casino page.
Big Boost’s selection of games has some exciting titles, but these are the games I’d recommend trying first:
Plenty of live dealer tables at Big Boost in Canada
Big Boost has a wide variety of live casino games, including 140 blackjack tables and 60 baccarat tables. The casino offers live versions of sic bo, roulette, dragon tiger, and poker as well!

Game shows you can play at Big Boost
Big Boost’s selection of game shows is a tad limited, with less than a dozen options, but the casino does offer some hits, like Money Time, Mega Wheel, and Sweet Bonanza Candyland.

Popular game providers Big Boost works with
Big Boost has a roster of more than 50 game providers working with it in Canada. While not the largest list I’ve seen, the lineup includes some heavy-hitting studios, like Relax Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Habanero, Quickspin, Playson, Big Time Gaming, Gameburger Studios, Tom Horn Gaming, and Push Gaming.
My rating of Big Boost’s games selection
Having an organized casino like Big Boost’s allows players to appreciate its contents more.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Games Variety | 6/7 | A large selection is well organized at Big Boost. It could use a few exclusive games, though, to really make the selection stand out. |
| Live Casino Experience | 3.5/4 | Big Boost has a good selection of live casino games that is nicely organized. Still, I’ve seen bigger selections. |
| Game Providers | 3/4 | More than 50 top studios provide Big Boost with casino games. I’ve seen rosters with over 100 studios, though. |
| Strong all round |
|---|
| Big Boost earns a 12.5/15 for its well-organized library of big hits and exciting titles. |
User experience at Big Boost
Now turning my Big Boost review to an assessment of the casino’s user experience, I look at its customer support, website navigation, and mobile performance.
Big Boost’s customer support
Big Boost has an excellent FAQ page that is filled with numerous questions with detailed answers.
I had several interactions with Big Boost’s live chat support team. They were always quick to respond. They were always dedicated to helping, and their answers were generally good.
That said, I also had one of them tell me they had done something, and then shortly thereafter say that that thing is not possible to do (and that they hadn’t in fact done it).
I’m not sure if they were just telling me what I wanted to hear at the outset or not, but it felt that way in retrospect. I then had another agent give me roundabout answers that avoided questions, which was quite frustrating.
In any case, players can also connect with support via email or Instagram (although the IG account has yet to post).
| Contact | Average Answer Time | |
|---|---|---|
| [email protected] | 24 hours | |
| live chat | 24/7 on the website | 2-5 mins |
| https://www.instagram.com/BigBoostCasino | 24-72 hours | |
| https://www.facebook.com/bigboost0/ | 24-72 hours |
User navigation at Big Boost
Big Boost is a pretty plain-looking design. There’s nothing wrong with the look, but I can’t say it’s one I particularly like either. The library organization is great, though, and I probably appreciate that more than the look.
That said, Big Boost came with some aggravations. I’ve already gone on about my experience with the Responsible Gambling tools and the inconsistencies inherent there, so I won’t repeat myself.
During that conversation with Big Boost support, though, I kept having to leave the chat to try what support was telling me to do. Every time I did, I had to close the chat down, try, and then recover the chat. It was a clumsy process that required me to go through the FAQ page to get to the live chat. Really clumsy.
I like how Big Boost has organized things, and that saves the casino here a bit, but there were a lot of other annoyances and mistakes (the chat button was spelt “cat,” e.g.).
Big Boost mobile experience
Big Boost wants to be considered for our list of the best mobile casinos in Canada. It might have a chance, too.
The casino’s website is completely optimized for mobile use, so players can access it from their mobile web browser, just as they do on their computer. Big Boost has taken that one step further, though, and designed a mobile app that works for Android devices.
My rating of Big Boost’s user experience
Big Boost’s user experience has its ups and downs.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Customer Support | 5.5/7 | A strong FAQ page is complemented by a diligent live chat support team that can sometimes be frustrating. |
| User Navigation | 1.5/4 | Clumsy design and lazy mistakes leave the well-organized Big Boost a tad aggravating. |
| Mobile Experience | 3.5/4 | Not only is Big Boost’s website fully optimized, but the casino has also developed a mobile app for Android devices (but not iOS users). |
| Strong but clumsy |
|---|
| I used a lot of adjectives describing Big Boost’s user experience, and there were nearly as many negative adjectives used as positive, resulting in a 10.5/15 rating. |
Popularity of Big Boost
As we approach the end of my Big Boost review, I turn to the public, giving the general aura surrounding the casino weight in the review. Here, I visit online sources like TrustPilot and Reddit to get a sense of where Big Boost stands in the eyes of the public.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Player Reputation | 7/10 | Big Boost has received generally positive reviews from users online. Players cite friendly customer support, fast transactions, and a good blackjack selection. Of course, the casino has its detractors. Negative reviews focused on poor user experiences and withdrawal confusion. |
| Market Visibility | 5/10 | Big Boost deserves a higher grade for having Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, and WhatsApp accounts, along with a fairly solid presence on TrustPilot, but given the casino hasn’t posted on Facebook since November of 2024 and has never posted on Instagram, I know it’s not actually doing the work right now. |
| Use the channels |
|---|
| It appears that Big Boost has set up a solid presence but rarely uses it, leaving the casino with a 12/20 rating. |
Get a boost, start big
Well, Big Boost starts with a good push from behind to get you going with its solid welcome bonus. With a 100% match, the casino lives up to its name.
I wish it continued with the boosts, though. The 10% cashback every Wednesday evening is nice, but I wish I were given more bonus opportunities. I’d love a few free spins, for example.
Big Boost does some important things right, though. Its licence from a Canadian regulator is one thing, and the responsible gambling tools are another: both are great.
Its game library is great too. The casino has done a fine job of organizing its library into enough useful categories that searching for new games can be enjoyable, and Big Boost has a large library to pillage. The live casino selection is 300 strong.
Crypto users will also be happy with Big Boost, as the casino accepts many coins. It could accept more for withdrawals, though, and give more options to fiat users, as well.My Big Boost review remembers some frustrating experiences, too, concluding with a 71/100 final rating.
