FortuneJack’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security

I begin my FortuneJack review by assessing the casino’s safety. I dig into its licence, responsible gambling efforts, and security.

FortuneJack’s licences

FortuneJack includes a verification link to its licence on the footer of its website. It also lists its licence number in its Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and FAQs:

Responsible gambling in FortuneJack

After enrolling at FortuneJack, these are the Responsible Gambling resources the casino provides players:

• A self-exclusion policy, offering both temporary and permanent exclusions

The FAQ page states that players can “go to Responsible Gaming in [their] profile [to] set deposit or wager limits,” but I found no such section on my profile nor any such tools anywhere on the website.

If FortuneJack offered those tools, that would be great, but the casino doesn’t offer those limits, despite saying it does, nor does it offer loss or session limits either. Reality checks are not available. I did not see a session timer. There is no mention of underage gambling or suggestions for parental control filters. I found no self-assessment test. FortuneJack is missing quite a bit.

What makes FortuneJack safe

FortuneJack shares the following about its website security and the features that keep players safe:

FortuneJack says a lot, but it’s oftentimes vague. Like, what is “advanced encryption” exactly? 

Still, the casino has implemented many strong security measures, despite not having a Data Protection Officer and perhaps being a bit too ambiguous at times

FortuneJack does a lot right to keep its website secure and players safe, but it comes up short with its responsible gambling efforts.

Bonuses and offers at FortuneJack

Casino bonuses are sometimes the most enticing reasons to join a casino. Players often weigh them heavily in their math, but we know to take a more measured approach and not become fixated on big numbers. The terms are really what make or break a bonus. Here, my FortuneJack review considers the casino’s welcome bonus, regular offers, tournaments, and loyalty program.

FortuneJack’s welcome bonus

FortuneJack has a unique collection of casino welcome bonuses.

New players can claim up to 5,000 free spins with their first four deposits of at least €20.

Again, I agree: the Euro pricing is annoying (or even obnoxious).

Basically, players are awarded free spins based on their deposit amount:

So, if for your first deposit, you deposit €100, you’ll receive 100 free spins. Similarly, for your second deposit of the same amount, you’ll receive 150 free spins.

To release the free spins, though, you will need to wager 10x your deposit. Free spins must be used within 3 days of being credited.

Then, any winnings from free spins must be wagered 30x.

So, really, it’s 40x wagering requirements, which are on the higher end of the industry average.

In addition, your fourth deposit also comes with 15 bonus rounds in FortuneJack’s main monthly promotion. 

All four deposits must be claimed within 14 days of choosing their bonus (between the casino and sports offers). 

Regular bonuses

I couldn’t actually find any other bonuses available from FortuneJack. I found terms for bonuses, but I could not find where I could claim any of them. Needless to say, it was a let-down.

Promotion and tournaments

FortuneJack was holding several in-house competitions, including wager races and drops & wins. The casino featured no network tournaments, though.

FortuneJack’s VIP/loyalty program

The reason FortuneJack doesn’t have regular bonuses is that the casino saves the benefits to hand out as part of its loyalty program instead. Players earn points for making real money bets and climb through 7 tiers and 20 levels to increasingly better VIP casino bonuses, including cashback, rakeback, reload bonuses, and more. Payment methods at FortuneJack in Canada

FortuneJack accepts, essentially, the most popular casino payment methods in Canada. What I don’t like is that players can only deposit in Euros. What might be worse, though, is the lack of withdrawal options.

Minimum deposit and withdrawal processing times

The minimum deposit at FortuneJack is €20, as is the minimum withdrawal amount. That’s a bit high for the minimum deposit, but it’s a solid withdrawal amount.

According to FortuneJack, the casino processes transactions almost immediately, even on weekends. Crypto withdrawals typically take 30 minutes, and fiat transactions can happen immediately or up to 48 hours. Those are fast times.

I was satisfied with FortuneJack’s collection of online slots. It had some great titles.

I really wish it were more organized, though. The casino just doesn’t make much use of game categories, even though players can find collections for bonus buy slots and crash games. I’d like to see a lot more of those.

User experience at FortuneJack

Now, I turn my FortuneJack review to the user experience at the casino. I evaluate the casino’s customer support channels, website navigation, and performance on mobile devices.

FortuneJack has a useful FAQ page, as well as FAQs elsewhere on the website, relevant to the page they are found on. The 24/7 live chat function was also useful. I received prompt responses and fairly useful responses (although the agent was really back and forth when I confronted them about responsible gambling tools). The casino has an email contact as well.

User navigation at FortuneJack

FortuneJack is easy to get around; it just takes forever. Loading a page took time, and it took even longer when I tried to search for games. It was very frustrating.

The look of the website is good, but I wish it did a better job of explaining things sometimes. I found promotions for things that didn’t exist (such as a 600% first deposit bonus). It was sloppy.

FortuneJack mobile experience

Unlike many of the best mobile casinos in Canada, FortuneJack, unfortunately, does not have a mobile app.

That said, the casino’s website is fully optimized for mobile use and runs smoothly on phones and tablets. A menu appears at the bottom of the mobile screen for easy access to the main rooms, making navigation slightly easier. I found the slow load times on the desktop were minimized on my mobile device.

FortuneJack took its time loading pages and search results, which was frustrating, but the rest of the casino’s user experience was on point.

In the final section of my FortuneJack review, I surf the web, attempting to cobble together the public’s opinion about the casino. I look through websites like TrustPilot, AskGamblers, and Reddit to get a sense of how users view the casino, and then complement that by going through the casino’s social media presence.

It’s a yellow brick road most of the way, too, and one that’s really made for crypto users.

For sure, FortuneJack accepts a long list of cryptocurrencies and has built its platform for crypto transactions. 

That said, fiat users are not left in the dark, as Interac, credit cards, and e-wallets are accepted for deposits. Withdrawals are a bit trickier for fiat users, but not impossible at FortuneJack. 

What’s great in any case is the speed of withdrawals, which players can usually expect to reach their accounts on the same day, if not in minutes.

Players will love the up to 5,000 free spins that come with the welcome bonus and the stacked VIP program available at FortuneJack. The VIP program is so flush with benefits that it makes up for the lack of bonuses available from the casino otherwise.

FortuneJack has a good game library, too, with thousands of online slots and live options for almost every table game. 

Where I have my biggest issues with the casino is with the website’s load time, which took way too long. The mobile version was better for some reason, but I had no other problems loading other web pages during the review, so it couldn’t have been my hardware.

In the end, my FortuneJack review concludes with a 70/100 final rating.
