Ivybet Review
The Ivybet review that follows takes our ‘How We Review Casinos‘ page as its launchpad, dividing the review into six sections:
- Ivybet’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
- Bonuses and offers from Ivybet
- Payment methods accepted by Ivybet
- Ivybet’s game selection
- The user experience at Ivybet
- Popularity of Ivybet
Ivybet’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
Our casino reviews all begin at the same place: with player safety. I’ll uncover Ivybet’s licence, evaluate its responsible gambling page, and examine its security measures.
Legal gambling age
The legal gambling age in Canada is 19 years old, although in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, it is 18. Online casino operators must verify every player’s age to ensure minors are restricted from gambling. In Canada, Gambling is regulated at the provincial level. In Alberta, for example, Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) regulates the province’s gambling.
For more information, visit our Licensing page.
Ivybet’s licences
I could not find any information about Ivybet’s licence on its website, but I was able to learn that the casino has a reliable licence:
Responsible gambling in Ivybet
I found the following resources on Ivybet’s Responsible Gambling page:
- The casino’s commitment to responsible gaming
- A link to a self-assessment quiz
- Suggestions for parental control filters
- Tips for maintaining responsible play
- Settings for requesting temporary and permanent self-exclusions
- Settings for daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits
- Activity tracker
Ivybet has done a decent job here, but the casino has also missed a few items I want to see. The most glaring miss is the lack of suggestions/links to Help organizations. That is probably the most obvious resource a casino should include.
As well, having settings for deposit limits is excellent, but what about loss, wager, and session length limits? Why not have settings for those? I’d love to see a session timer and the ability to set reality checks, too.
Addiction risk: play responsibly
While casino games are meant to be fun, gambling can become addictive and lead to harmful consequences if players do not play responsibly.
With this in mind, we encourage players to look out for signs that might indicate problem gambling:
- Chasing losses
- Playing for longer than intended
- Gambling with more money than intended
- Disguising gambling activity from other people
- Borrowing money to gamble
If you recognize any of these signs, consider contacting any of the following help organizations: - ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600)
- Responsible Gambling Council
- Canada Safety Council
What makes Ivybet safe
The following security measures are what I found Ivybet employs:
- The website uses SSL encryption when transferring data
- Payment operations are carried out entirely through the payment provider’s secure server
- Ivybet only collaborates with top providers
- Systems and applications security are tested multiple times a year by third-party security experts
- Data Protection Officer
- Dedicated fraud department
- Player account settings for two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Except for live casino games, all of Ivybet’s games use Random Number Generators (RNGs) to ensure fair outcomes
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy
- Know Your Customer (KYC) Policies
- Terms and Conditions
- Privacy Policy
Ivybet appears far more transparent about its security features than it is about its licence. I suppose the casino could be more specific about the type of encryption its website employs, but that’s splitting hairs.
My rating of Ivybet’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
A gaming licence is a basic piece of information for Ivybet to share, and failing to do so hurts the casino’s rating.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Licences | 2.5/7 | Ivybet has a reliable licence, but leaves no evidence of one on its website. |
| Responsible Gambling | 5/7 | It offers many important Responsible Gambling resources, but Ivybet also misses a few tools and leaves out perhaps the most obvious resource. |
| Security | 6/6 | Unlike its tight-lipped approach to its licence, Ivybet is happy to share as many security features as it can with players. |
| A licence is all we want to know… |
|---|
| The licence points in this review are the easiest ones to obtain, so it’s a shame Ivybet fails to snag them all, leaving the casino with a 13.5/20 rating. |
Bonuses and offers at Ivybet
Let’s see what the casino has to give us in terms of casino bonuses, shall we? Yes! Here, my Ivybet review turns to look at the casino’s welcome bonus, regular promotions, tournaments, and loyalty program.
Bonus risks
All bonuses come with wagering requirements. These requirements must be met to gain the bonus money. Typically, these involve wagering the bonus amount 30 or 40 or more times over. Over 80% of players lose money with casino bonuses.
Ivybet’s welcome bonus
I have to be honest, Ivybet’s casino welcome bonus isn’t very clear, and at no point did support make it any clearer when I spoke with them. Here’s what the first deposit bonus is, anyway.

New players can claim a 100% bonus up to $500 and 50 free spins with a minimum deposit of $20.
Free spins are good for Gates of Olympus, Aztec Magic, Aztec Magic Deluxe, Johnny Cash, Platinum Lightning, and Platinum Lightning Deluxe. Bonus funds and free spins come with 40x wagering requirements. Free spins are valid for 7 days.
What bothers me is that the terms are not clear, and I found contradictory information on the website that support could not or would not reconcile. It’s a mid bonus offer anyway.
Regular bonuses
I found two regular bonuses available from Ivybet:
- Sunday Reload: Every Sunday, players can claim a once-a-week 25% low-wagering bonus up to $150 with code RELDAY. The bonus requires a deposit of at least $45 and comes with only 5x wagering.
- Highroller Bonus: Every month, players can claim a 50% bonus up to $750 with the code 50HIGH. The bonus requires a minimum deposit of $450 and comes with 40x wagering.
Ivybet also has a cashback program as well. Players can claim weekly cashback up to 25% of their deposit sum and losses for the previous week.

Promotion and tournaments
The casino offered 12 tournaments during my Ivybet review. On the menu were competitions with prize pools ranging from $3,750 to $18,000,000, which included network tournaments and in-house challenges. It was a great selection if you want tournament play.
Ivybet’s VIP/loyalty program
Ivybet’s loyalty program consists of 16 levels across 4 ranks, 5 levels for each of the first 3 ranks, and then the top level with the top rank (Platinum), each level earning better VIP casino bonuses than the last. Players improve their standing in the program by making wagers and deposits. Here’s what the program looks like:
| Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wager points required | 0 | 1,500 | 11,000 | 800,000 |
| Deposit points required | 0 | 0 | 500 | 35,000 |
| Weekly reload | ⭐ | ⭐⭐ | ⭐⭐⭐ | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| Weekly bonus wheels | ⭐ | ⭐⭐ | ⭐⭐⭐ | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| Slots cashback | ❌ | 1% | Up to 3% | 5% |

| Weekly rakeback | ❌ | ❌ | Up to 4% | 5% |

My rating of bonuses available at Ivybet
If Ivybet could articulate its welcome package clearly, it would likely do a lot better here.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome Bonus | 2.5/7 | The offer is mildly exciting only and has poor wagering requirements, but the confusing terms are more of a concern. |
| Regular Offers | 3.5/4 | There’s only one weekly reload bonus (albeit with wonderfully low wagering requirements) and a monthly highroller bonus, but the cashback program and long list of tournaments make Ivybet a solid casino for regular bonuses. |
| VIP/Loyalty Program | 3.5/4 | Ivybet’s loyalty program comes with quality benefits of a high quantity, but I’d prefer it to be a bit easier to gain more benefits sooner. |
| Confusing terms hurt |
|---|
| Ivybet’s inability to explain clearly on its website or via support hurts this 9.5/15 rating most, because it’s a great bonus program otherwise. |
Payment methods at Ivybet in Canada
Ivybet has a short list of fiat casino payment methods it accepts in Canada, only one for withdrawals:
| Payment Method | Min Deposit | Max Withdrawal | Average Deposit Time | Average Withdrawal Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Interac | $30 | $3,000 | Instant | 1-3 business days |
| Visa | $30 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Mastercard | $30 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
Financial risks
This is a reminder that gambling involves real money. It involves financial risk. Casinos do not open their doors without being favoured to win, which means most players lose over time. We recommend setting limits before playing and only gambling with what you can afford to lose.
Minimum deposit and withdrawal processing times
Ivybet’s minimum deposit is $30. That’s a slightly high minimum, but it is nowhere near as high as the casino’s minimum withdrawal amount, which is $250. Now that’s high.
At least Ivybt is quick with its withdrawals, which the casino claims are usually processed within a day. I suggest allowing up to at least 3 business days before you contact support, though (and I would probably wait even longer than that).
Cryptocurrency accepted at Ivybet in Canada
Ivybet accepts a good list of cryptocurrencies for both deposits and withdrawals in Canada:
The dangers of using cryptocurrency
Players should note that using cryptocurrency comes with risks. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, with their values oftentimes fluctuating rapidly. The Government of Canada, the Bank of Canada, or other financial institutions do not back crypto; it is not stable nor guaranteed, which leaves users vulnerable to losing large amounts of money. We strongly recommend setting financial limits and investing only what you can afford to lose.
Step-by-step guide on how to withdraw from Ivybet
- Click the orange “Deposit” button in the top right.
- Select the “Withdraw” tab.
- Choose your payment method.
- Enter the amount.
- Enter any requested information related to the payment method.
- Click “Withdraw.”
Other important information to know when withdrawing from Ivybet:
- Active deposits must be played through at least three times before being withdrawn.
- Ivybet with process player withdrawals only after the casino has verified the player’s identity. To be verified, players will need to share these documents with Ivybet:
- Actual passport/ID card
- Document confirming the player’s permanent address (e.g., utility bill, bank statement, etc.) that is no older than 6 months
- Perhaps additional documents, such as a selfie with the ID card or pictures of the player’s bank card
My rating of Ivybet’s payment methods
It’s more than just the lack of fiat payment options that Ivybet could improve.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Payment Options | 2.5/7 | Ivybet is limited to Interac and credit cards when it comes to accepting fiat payment methods, and only with Interac can players withdraw. |
| Minimum Deposit & Payment Processing Times | 2/4 | The high minimum withdrawal amount hurts Ivybet’s rating here, but the casino’s quick withdrawal times save it. |
| Cryptocurrency | 3/4 | Ivybet’s acceptable cryptocurrencies in Canada include 8 of Canada’s most common. |
| Easy on the withdrawal minimum |
|---|
| I’ve rarely seen withdrawal minimums as high as Ivybet’s. That, coupled with a limited number of accepted fiat methods, leaves the casino with a 7.5/15 rating. |
Ivybet’s games selection
Here, my Ivybet review gets to dig into some properly fun stuff: the games. In what follows, I assess the casino’s collection of more than 6,000 games by considering its exclusive games, online slots, live tables, game shows, and providers.

Casino games warning
Players need to keep sight of the fact that casino games are a game of chance. While licensed games are tested by third parties for fairness, they are also weighted in favour of the casino. Most players, therefore, lose over time. It’s why we like to remind players that casino games are a form of entertainment, not a way to make money.
Exclusive games at Ivybet
A selection of Ivybet originals is accessible from the main sidebar menu. While there are games there that look identical to popular games, like Chicken Road, there are others that are exclusive to Ivybet.

Recommended slots you can play at Ivybet
The online slots selection at Ivybet is good, even if it isn’t spectacular. I appreciate the filters available for searches, but I’d like to see more than what’s there: give us megaways slots, crash games, high RTP slots, and high volatility slots; give us cluster slots and slots with cascading tiles. Actually, it was a bit odd that I couldn’t find a page that allowed me to scroll through the general slot selection.
In any case, if you want a few suggestions for slots worth trying, here are a few recommendations from Ivybet’s library:
Quality live dealer tables at Ivybet in Canada
Ivybet has hundreds of live casino games available in its library in Canada, including more than 190 blackjack tables, over 40 baccarat tables, and nearly 30 roulette tables. I also found a live sic bo table and a live table for dragon tiger, but there were no live poker tables.

Game shows you can play at Ivybet
It’s a short list of less than 10 game shows at Ivybet. Money Time, Sweet Bonanza Candyland, and Mega Wheel are highlights.

Popular game providers Ivybet works with
Ivybet works with nearly 70 game providers in Canada, including hit makers like Playtech, VoltEnt, Pragmatic Play, Shady Lady, Mascot Gaming, ICONIC21, Endorphina, BGaming, and 4thePlayer.
My rating of Ivybet’s games selection
Ivybet has a good game library, but at every turn, I always felt like something was missing from the selection.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Games Variety | 5.5/7 | Ivybet has a decently sized library of games, including original titles. |
| Live Casino Experience | 2.5/4 | The reasonably sized selection of live casino games at Ivybet is more catered to blackjack players than anything else. There are no live poker tables and limited options for table games like sic bo and dragon tiger. |
| Game Providers | 2.5/4 | Almost 70 top providers work with Ivybet, although some major studios are missing. |
| Decent and reasonable |
|---|
| Players will probably have a hard time complaining about Ivybet’s game selection, even if it also feels short: 10.5/15. |
User experience at Ivybet
I now turn this Ivybet review to study its customer support, website navigation, and mobile performance in an effort to evaluate the casino’s user experience.
Ivybet’s customer support
A full Help Centre arms IvyBet with a good FAQ page. The casino has a 24/7 live chat, email contact, and several social media accounts.
Ivybet’s live/chat is screened by an AI bot that could not help and was nearly impossible to circumvent (the secret I’ve found is to ask for the support email address, and then the bot suddenly sends you to live support!).
Once I received live help, it was unfortunately no better. The support agent was unable to explain how the welcome package works and could not reconcile the website’s contradictory information regarding it. The experience was not a good one.
| Contact | Average Answer Time | |

User navigation at Ivybet
Ivybet is a nicely designed casino. I like the blue-green colour scheme; I like how the sidebar menu expands to submenus.
I really like how Ivybet has numerous filters for searching its game library, but I think it’s odd that there isn’t a page for all slots. I can think of more filters I’d like to add, too.
One thing I found difficult was finding my player profile in Ivybet. It is found, of course, by clicking on the avatar in the top right. Obvious, but the difficulty is that, unlike the small settings tab and the “Activities” and “+Deposit” buttons, which reside at the top near the avatar and all of which see the cursor change to a pointing finger when hovering over them, when hovering over the avatar, the cursor does not change, suggesting the avatar is not a link. One just has to have faith and click to find the menu that’s hidden underneath: my player profile!
Once these blemishes are figured out, players can cruise through Ivybet mostly painlessly.
Ivybet mobile experience
Ivybet offers players a mobile app, which can be downloaded to players’ devices. The advantages included faster loading times, push notifications, and the ability to work offline, allowing players to access previously loaded content. It puts Ivybet in consideration for one of the best mobile casinos in Canada.
Of course, if you prefer not to download an app, Ivybet’s website is optimized for mobile use and works excellently on mobile browsers.

My rating of Ivybet’s user experience
Ivybet is confused about its own welcome bonus, and its lack of ability to articulate it hurts.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Customer Support | 2/7 | Ivybet has support channels, but how well they work is another question. |
| User Navigation | 3/4 | There are some silly blemishes, but once players get used to them, navigation through Ivybet is easy. |
| Mobile Experience | 4/4 | Ivybet offers a fully optimized website and a fully functioning mobile app, complete with push notifications. |
| The casino is confused |
|---|
| It’s a shame how confused Ivybet seems to be about its own welcome bonus, but the experience I had trying to rely on the casino’s support team was not pleasant, to say the least, and is a big reason this 9/15 rating isn’t higher. |
Popularity of Ivybet
In the final section of my Ivybet review, I assess the public’s opinion of the casino by appealing to user reviews, chat forums, and social media platforms.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Player Reputation | 7/10 | Ivybet has a fairly strong profile on TrustPilot, although many of the reviews didn’t have much to say. When they did have something to say, users praised the fast withdrawals and helpful support or complained about the withdrawal process. |
| Market Visibility | 5/10 | It’s hard to grade Ivybet here because they have multiple social media accounts, but those accounts are not very active. The casino did respond to user reviews on TrustPilot, though, and there were a fair number of reviews there. That said, there were no user reviews on AskGamblers, and I couldn’t find the casino mentioned on Reddit. |
| Time to get more active |
|---|
| I think the easiest way for Ivybet to improve its 12/20 rating here is to increase its activity on social media. |
Tickle these ivories?
My Ivybet review concludes with a 62/100 final rating.
