I followed our methodology for casino reviews, as described on our ‘How We Review Casinos‘ page, to write this Colosseum Casino review, which is, accordingly, organized into six sections:
- Colosseum Casino’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
- Bonuses and offers from Colosseum Casino
- Payment methods accepted by Colosseum Casino
- Colosseum Casino’s game selection
- The user experience at Colosseum Casino
- Popularity of Colosseum Casino
Colosseum Casino’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
The best online casinos in Canada are, firstly, safe casinos for players. That’s priority number one when reviewing a casino. So, I begin this Colosseum Casino review by assessing the casino’s licence, responsible gambling efforts, and security measures.
| Legal gambling age |
|---|
| The legal gambling age in most Canadian provinces and territories is 19 years old (in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, though, it is 18), meaning online casino operators must verify every player’s age to ensure minors do not gamble. Each province and territory is regulated provincially. For example, gambling in Ontario is regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Visit our Licensing page for more information. |
Colosseum Casino’s licences
Colosseum Casino has a link to a certificate of its licence from not only a Canadian regulator, but a highly regarded one as well:
That said, the information and link are only available when you are a visitor on the website: as soon as you sign in, the licence information is nowhere to be found.
Responsible gambling in Colosseum Casino
Colosseum Casino has a clear Responsible Gambling page that provides several useful resources:
- Basic responsible gambling tips
- Self-assessment test
- Links to help organizations
- Daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits can be set by contacting support
- Cool-off and self-exclusion periods can be arranged by contacting support
- Links for parental control tools
There’s a lot there, but where Colosseum Casino’s Responsible Gambling page comes up short is with the tools. Limits for deposits are great, but what about losses, wagers, and session limits? I want to see reality checks as an option for players, too. In addition, I also want to be able to use those tools myself, without having to contact support to do so. What’s there is great, but Colosseum Casino could be better.
| Addiction risk: play responsibly |
|---|
| While casino games are meant to be fun, gambling can become addictive and lead to harmful consequences if players do not play responsibly. With this in mind, we encourage players to look out for signs that might indicate problem gambling: – Chasing losses – Playing for longer than intended – Gambling with more money than intended – Disguising gambling activity from other people – Borrowing money to gamble If you recognize any of these signs, consider contacting any of the following help organizations: – ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600) – Gamblers Anonymous Canada – Gambling Therapy |
What makes Colosseum Casino safe
Colosseum’s licence from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission is a good sign that players are safe at the casino, but it’s important to see what the casino tells us about their website security, giving us a sense of its transparency. This is what I found for my Colosseum Casino review:
- 128-bit SSL encryption
- Idependently reviewed Random Number Generators used to ensure fair game results
- eCOGRA certified
- Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy
I found all of Colosseum Casino’s Terms and policies easy to read. The issue was that I found them to be light on information. While Colosseum Casino has a verification procedure, it does not currently publish an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or Know-Your-Customer (KYC) policy. I’d love to see two-factor authentication for account access, as well.
Like the licence and Responsible Gambling Page, once logged into my account online, I could no longer view the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
My rating of Colosseum Casino’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
A strong licence and fair gameplay are two of Closseum Casino’s most impactful safety badges.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Licences | 6/7 | Colosseum Casino has a highly regarded licence from a Canadian regulator. Why is the information only available to website visitors, though? |
| Responsible Gambling | 4/7 | The responsible gambling page at Colosseum Casino is good, but falls short of great because of the tools it’s missing. And then it falls further because there is no RG page once signed into your player account. |
| Security | 3.5/6 | Colosseum Casino is checked thoroughly for fair gameplay, but it could provide players with more security information. Why the Terms disappear when signed in is beyond me. |
| Secure and great RG tools |
|---|
| A strong licence from a Canadian regulator is the first indication that players can feel safe at Colosseum Casino. If it had better responsible gambling tools and shared more security information, the casino could ace this section rather than earn the still respectable 13.5/20 rating it does earn. |
Bonuses and offers at Colosseum Casino
Casino bonuses entice players to both join a casino and play more regularly at the casino once registered. This section of my Colosseum Casino review has me focus on the casino’s welcome bonus, regular promotions, tournaments, and loyalty program.
| Bonus risks |
|---|
| Players should be aware that bonuses come with wagering requirements that must be met to gain the bonus money. Often, they require players to bet the bonus amount 30 or 40 or more times over. Over 80% of players lose money with casino bonuses. |
Colosseum Casino’s welcome bonus
The welcome bonus at Colosseum Casino, like most casino welcome bonuses, adds some extra cash to your account.

With a minimum deposit of $10, players can receive up to $750 in bonus money over their first five deposits.
The biggest things to watch for here, though, are the wagering requirements. They are absurdly high. At least, they are for the first couple of deposits (200x!). The final three deposits come with more reasonable requirements (30x), and players have 30 days to meet them.
A deposit must be made within the first 7 days of registering to claim Colosseum Casino’s welcome bonus, which works like this:
| Deposit | Match % | Amount | Wagering |
|---|---|---|---|
| First | 100% | $100 | 200x |
| Second | 50% | $200 | 200x |
| Third | 30% | $150 | 30x |
| Fourth | 20% | $100 | 30x |
| Fifth | 10% | $200 | 30x |
It’s difficult to find much with this offer to get excited about. The wagering requirements for the first two deposits are horrible. At least there are 30 days to complete them, though. The first deposit is the only deposit that comes with a particularly good match, too, but the requirements prevent you from being excited about it.
Sure, the 30x wagering requirements for deposits three through five are good at just 30x, but the match percentages are hardly exciting. The highest match amount for any deposit is merely $200. Honestly, I’m unimpressed.
Regular bonuses
Colosseum Casino has a complicated bonus program that is mostly a part of the casino’s loyalty program (more below). Regardless of your loyalty program level, all players are offered what the casino calls “freebies,” daily offers that can include free spins, free bonuses, VIP points, or Thunderball numbers.
Thunderball is Coloseum Casino’s weekly jackpot draw. Players win prizes based on how many of their numbers match the winning Thunderball numbers, with 2 matches being the minimum win amount. Players collect Thunderball numbers throughout the week from freebies and the loyalty program.
I could not find any tournaments available during my Colosseum Casino review.
Promotion and tournaments
On top of the above weekly bonuses, LuckyWins has a number of other promotions.
Offers come with the usual 40x wagering for bonus money and free spins, or 50x wagering for the free spins only offers. Minimum deposits vary.
The casino also holds super jackpots, along with tournaments with prize pools of up to $2,000,000, although only 3 tournaments were running during my LuckyWins review.
Colosseum Casino’s VIP/loyalty program
Colosseum Casino has a tiered loyalty program that consists of 4 VIP levels related to your recent activity at the casino. The higher your level, the more benefits you receive. Those benefits mostly include VIP casino bonuses: new rewards are available at least twice a day, but the higher your VIP level, the more frequent rewards become available to claim.
Moreover, players who complete a streak of claiming at least one reward every day for eight consecutive days activate a “Gold Surge,” which gives the player upgraded rewards for 24 hours.

My rating of bonuses available at Colosseum Casino
The loyalty program saves Colosseum Casino’s bonus program from complete disaster.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome Bonus | 1.5/7 | It’s hard to be excited about anything to do with Colosseum Casino’s welcome bonus. The wagering requirements for the first two matches are huge, and the match percentages after those two deposits are a bit measly. |
| Regular Offers | 2/4 | Colosseum has invested more effort into its loyalty program than its regular bonuses, although a daily “freebie” is pretty sweet. |
| VIP/Loyalty Program | 3.5/4 | Colosseum has created what certainly appears to be a great loyalty program, but the details aren’t perfectly clear. |
| What’s with a welcome? |
|---|
| Colosseum Casino’s welcome bonus is a head scratcher, and a lot is going on with the casino’s bonus program, but it isn’t always the clearest: 7/15. |
Payment methods at Colosseum Casino in Canada
Colosseum Casino accepts a fairly extensive list of casino payment methods in Canada, including credit/debit cards, e-wallets and e-vouchers. More are accepted for deposits than withdrawals, but the options for withdrawals still aren’t bad:
| Payment Method | Min Deposit | Max Withdrawal | Average Deposit Time | Average Withdrawal Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Interac | $10 | $4,000 | Instant | 3-6 business days |
| Visa | $10 | $4,000 | Instant | 3-6 business days |
| Mastercard | $10 | $4,000 | Instant | 3-6 business days |
| Instadebit | $10 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Neosurf | $10 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Paysafecard | $10 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Google Pay | $10 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| MuchBetter | $10 | $4,000 | Instant | 3-4 business days |
| Flexepin | $10 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Payz | $10 | $4,000 | Instant | 3-4 business days |
| ElectronicCheck | $10 | $4,000 | Instant | 3-4 business days |
| Bank transfer | $10 | $6,000 | Instant | 3-5 business days |
| Financial risks |
|---|
| This is a reminder that gambling involves real money and, therefore, financial risk. Casinos do not open their doors without being favoured to win, which means most players lose over time. This is a reminder to set limits before playing and only gamble what you can afford to lose. |
Minimum deposit and withdrawal processing times
$10 is the minimum deposit amount at Colosseum Casino, which is nice and low. The minimum withdrawal is $50, which is a tad on the high side.
Colosseum Casino holds withdrawals for 2 business days, processing them on the third business day. Withdrawals can typically take up to 3 or 4 days longer to reach your account, depending on the chosen payment method.
Cryptocurrency accepted at Colosseum in Canada
Colosseum accepts a good short list of cryptocurrencies for both deposits and withdrawals in Canada: Bitcoin, Tether, and Ethereum.
| The dangers of using cryptocurrency |
|---|
| Players should note that using cryptocurrency comes with risks. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, with their values oftentimes fluctuating rapidly. The Government of Canada, the Bank of Canada, or other financial institutions do not back crypto; it is not stable nor guaranteed, which leaves users vulnerable to losing large amounts of money. We strongly recommend setting financial limits and investing only what you can afford to lose. |
Step-by-step guide on how to withdraw from Colosseum Casino
- Click on the “Bank” button at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the “Withdrawal” tab.
- Choose your payment method.
- Enter the withdrawal amount.
- Fill in any necessary information related to the chosen payment method.
- Click “Withdraw.”
Important information to know when withdrawing from Colosseum Casino:
- Colosseum Casino maintains the right to request verification documents before approving withdrawal requests. Those documents include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Valid identity document, such as a passport, driver’s licence, or other official document that replaces them.
- Evidence of ownership of the deposit method used on the account, such as a copy of the card used or a screenshot of the account.
- Proof of address, such as a recent utility or phone bill.
My rating of Colosseum Casino’s payment methods
Players shouldn’t have difficulties processing payments with Colosseum Casino.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Payment Options | 6/7 | Players have a lot of payment options at Colosseum Casino, but quite as many for withdrawing. |
| Minimum Deposit & Payment Processing Times | 2.5/4 | A low minimum deposit amount scores points, but the high(-ish) minimum withdrawal amount loses some. Processing times are around the industry standard. |
| Cryptocurrency | 1.5/4 | Colosseum Casino accepts 3 of the most popular cryptocurrencies in Canada. |
| Taken care of |
|---|
| Players will be taken care of by Colosseum Casino when it comes tot heir banking needs, even if I’d like to see the casino accept more cryptocurrencies: 10/15. |
Colosseum Casino’s games selection
At this juncture, my Colosseum Casino review evaluates the game library. I inspect the casino’s exclusive games, online slots, live tables, game shows, and the providers it’s partnered with.

| Casino games warning |
|---|
| Players need to keep sight of the fact that casino games are a game of chance. While licensed games are tested by third parties for fairness, they are also weighted in favour of the casino. Most players, therefore, lose over time. It’s why we like to remind players that casino games are a form of entertainment, not a way to make money. |
Exclusive games
Via the “For You” menu, players can view Colosseum Casino’s exclusive games list, which consists of more than 20 titles, such as Immortal Creatures, Road of Thunder, and Enchanted Oceans.

Recommended slots you can play at Colosseum Casino
Hundreds of online slots fill Colosseum Casino’s library. Visit the “For You” and “Rooms” pages for game categories, like cluster games, high volatility slots, and classics. I wish the casino made more use of these categories and included a few more, like megaways slots or bonus buy slots, though.
The selection features a few of my favourite games that I highly recommend trying:
Live dealer tables at Colosseum Casino in Canada
I counted just over 40 live casino games available at Colosseum Casino in Canada. Options include roulette, dragon tiger, sic bo, blackjack, andar bahar, and baccarat. Unfortunately, I did not find any live poker tables.

Game shows you can play at Colosseum Casino
I found only 3 game shows within Colosseum Casino’s live casino in Canada: Snakes & Ladders Live, Sweet Bonanza Candyland, and Treasure Island.
Popular game providers Colosseum Casino works with
Colosseum Casino only works with 2 game providers: Games Global and Pragmatic Play. They are two of the biggest and most influential studios in the industry, so Colosseum Casino features some big-hitting titles in its game library as a result.
My rating of Colosseum Casino’s games selection
Some big, hit games exist in Colosseum Casino’s library, but there’s also a fair amount missing from it.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Games Variety | 4.5/7 | Colosseum Casino doesn’t have the biggest game selection, but it does have some massive hits. Players won’t find crash games, though, and the selection is ultimately a bit limited. |
| Live Casino Experience | 2/4 | Colosseum Casino offers live versions of most table games, but the selection is not the largest and features very few game shows and no poker tables. |
| Game Providers | 1.5/4 | Only 2 providers work with Colosseum Casino, although they are two of the biggest. |
| Some great slots |
|---|
| Players will find some great slots and a few quality live tables in Colosseum Casino’s library, but they’ll also find a lot missing from it; hence, its 8/15 rating. |
User experience at Colosseum Casino
I now turn my Colosseum Casino review to the user experience. I’ll look carefully at the casino’s customer support, website navigation, and its performance on mobile devices.
Colosseum Casino’s customer support
Colosseum Casino has a reasonable collection of FAQs on a dedicated page, but when those do not satisfy your query, the casino does have a 24/7 live chat. That’s where I went with my question that the FAQ page did not address.
I was almost immediately met by a live agent who promptly attempted to answer my question but completely missed the mark. I was then given the option to continue the chat or not. Upon selecting “yes” to continue, the agent spat out another response that did not answer my question. Again, all I could do was continue the chat or not, and again, the chat continued with another response from the agent that did not answer my question.
Finally, after this repeating about five times, the agent told me that they were transferring me to a “specialist.” The specialist turned out to be a chatbot that simply looked up my account and announced my available bonuses before ending the chat. It was a similar experience later that day when I tried with a different query.
Players can also email for support.
| Contact | Average Answer Time | |
|---|---|---|
| [email protected] | 24 hours | |
| Live chat | Available 24/7 online | 2-5 mins |
User navigation at Colosseum Casino
The design of Colosseum Casino’s website shows its age. It looks like it’s been around since the 20th century, and it has. I actually like the framing, with a menu at the bottom, similar to how many casinos design their mobile sites, but then the framing isn’t consistent, disappearing when visiting the Banking page, for example. It’s annoying.
I don’t hate the idea of having a “For You” page or a “Rooms” page, but why can’t I navigate to those pages more easily? It feels clumsy having to go to one page just to get to another. It’s not completely bad, but some of it really feels like 1999 still.
Colosseum Casino’s mobile experience
Colosseum Casino offers a fine mobile experience, one that matches its casino experience on a computer. Fully optimized, the casino’s website operates smoothly on mobile devices.
The best mobile casinos in Canada offer players a mobile app for their phones and tablets. Unfortunately, Colosseum is not one of those casinos, but players will have no issues using the casino on their mobile browser.
My rating of Colosseum Casino’s user experience
Colosseum Casino could use an update to its user experience.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Customer Support | 3.5/7 | Colosseum Casino has a decent FAQ page, but its live chat could improve, despite being prompt. |
| User Navigation | 1.5/4 | Colosseum Casino’s website is clunky and feels old, usually in a negative way. |
| Mobile Experience | 3/4 | Colosseum Casino is fully optimized for phones and tablets, but the casino does not offer a mobile app. |
| A bit out of touch |
|---|
| Give grandpa a break. He’s old; he’s seen a lot. Colosseum Casino could use a break when it comes to its user experience, one that earns an 8/15 rating. |
Popularity of Colosseum Casino
The final section of my Colosseum Casino review looks to online sources like TrustPilot and Reddit to uncover a general sense of the public’s opinion about the casino. Here’s what the public has to say about Colosseum Casino.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Player Reputation | 6.5/10 | Generally, Colosseum Casino has a good reputation online, with players praising the game selection and processing times. Still, others weren’t as impressed, complaining about low bonus amounts and difficulties withdrawing. |
| Market Visibility | 4/10 | I was surprised to see so few reviews on TrustPilot, especially for a casino as established as Colosseum Casino is. The casino seemed to have a large following on Twitter, though, so that did make up for things a bit. Still, one would expect a casino as old as Colosseum Casino to be more visibly recognized online. |
| Positively known |
|---|
| Colosseum Casino has a decent reputation, but I would have hoped the casino would be a more recognizable brand as a well-established veteran of the online casino market, which is why Colosseum Casino ends up with a 10.5/20 rating. |
What’s colossal?
Colosseum Casino has been around since 1999. Sometimes, that’s a good thing, and other times, not so much.
The casino’s licence from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission is definitely a good thing. With its track record, Colosseum Casino is reputable, to say the least.
Its library of games is primed with some massive hits, sure to keep players entertained, and while the casino doesn’t have the largest live table selection, it has variants of pretty much every table you might be looking for (unless you’re a poker player).
I do have issues with the welcome bonus. Those wagering requirements are too high (for the first two deposits). Thankfully, the casino has an alluring loyalty program worth exploiting.
Players in Canada should have few difficulties completing transactions with Colosseum Casino, as it accepts a wide variety of payment methods, including some of the most popular cryptocurrencies.
Navigation around the website feels old, though, and the live support chat could improve.
My Colosseum review concludes with a 57/100 final rating.
