Cashed’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security

Player safety is the first item players should verify when considering a new casino to play at. To be consistent with that imperative, my Cashed review investigates the casino’s licence, responsible gambling efforts, and security measures.

Cashed’s licences

I could not find any information about Cashed’s licence on its website. I had to email support to get the answer:

Responsible gambling in Cashed

Cashed does a fine job providing players with some important information on its Responsible Gambling page. From the self-assessment test through the links to help organizations, like Gambling Therapy, and third-party tools, like NetNanny, Cashed does provide the right aids to help its players. The criticism here is that it doesn’t provide enough aids. While players can arrange a self-exclusion, they can only do so by emailing support, and that is the only tool available to them. No deposit limits; no loss limits; no wager limits; no session limits; no reality checks; no session timer. That’s a fair amount missing in our view.

What makes Cashed safe

Here’s what I uncovered about Cashed’s website security by surveying the casino’s website:

• A data network protected by encryption
• Data Protection Officer
• A focus on Anti-Money Laundering
• Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy
  

While the website is secure, Cashed doesn’t reveal much about the security measures it has in place. A Data Protection Officer is great, but what about two-factor authentication for players’ accounts? Encryption is great, but what kind of encryption is it? Is the network protected by a firewall? I’d prefer if Cashed were a bit more transparent about its security.

Bonuses and offers at Cashed

Now, let’s hope Cashed doesn’t need to bulk up as much when it comes to the casino bonuses it offers, right? In this section of the review, I evaluate the casino’s welcome bonus, regular offers, tournaments, and loyalty program. 

Cashed’s welcome bonus

The first thing to attract a player’s eye to a casino is often the welcome bonuses.

New players at Cashed can claim a 100% bonus of up to $750 and up to 200 free spins with their first deposit of at least $30. 

The bonus money comes with a 35x wagering requirement, and free spins come with 40x wagering requirements. Free spins come in batches of 20 and must be claimed every 24 hours for 10 days after the player’s initial deposit. 

The wagering requirements must be met within 10 days. The requirements are around the industry average, 40x might even be called a bit “high.” The 10 days to meet them isn’t horrible, but not a lot of time either.

Regular bonuses

Every week, Cashed offers players a pair of reload bonuses and cashback:

• Weekly Reload: The first minimum deposit of $30, from Monday to Thursday, is awarded 50 free spins. The bonus money comes with 25x wagering.
• Weekend Reload: The first minimum deposit of $30, from Friday to Sunday, is awarded a 50% bonus up to $1,050. If the deposit is at least $75, though, the bonus comes with 50 free spins as well. The bonus money comes with 25x wagering, and the free spins with 40x wagering.
• Weekly Live Cashback: 25% cashback on losses in the Cashed live casino for up to $300. Cashback comes with a 1x wagering requirement.
  

Promotion and tournaments

7 tournaments were available at the casino during my Cashed review. The majority were in-house competitions, although there were network tournaments from Hacksaw Gaming and Swintt. Prize pools ranged from 1,100 casino coins to €20,000. 

Cashed was also hosting nearly 100 challenges, which included completing tasks, such as completing 500 spins or winning 50 times.

Cashed’s VIP/loyalty program

Those who are granted upper-level VIP status from the VIP program at Cashed will be entitled to a weekly cashback percentage. One’s VIP status is determined by the player’s activity over the previous 90 days and includes additional benefits beyond the cashback percentage, such as increased withdrawal limits and personalized offers.

Cashed offers a little of everything from its bonus program, but there could still be more to it.

Payment methods at Cashed in Canada

Cashed accepts a limited number of casino payment methods in Canada, the limitations most glaring with the lack of Visa payments. The casino’s story in this regard, unfortunately, gets worse when considering withdrawals.

Minimum deposit and withdrawal processing times

Cashed is one of those rare casinos that has a higher minimum deposit ($15 for Paysafecards, but $20 for most other methods) than it does its withdrawal minimum ($10 for Interac, but $20 for most other methods). In both cases, the minimums are low.

Withdrawals are processed by Cashed within 3 business days, provided the player has passed any required account verification. Funds do not reach player accounts until their payment provider has processed the withdrawal on their end, which can take up to an additional 5 business days. Generally, players can expect to receive withdrawals in 3 days.

Cryptocurrency accepted at Cashed in Canada

Cashed takes care of crypto users, as the casino accepts a wide range of cryptocurrencies in Canada for deposits and withdrawals (minimum of $20 in both cases):

Other important information to know when withdrawing from Cashed:

• You must wager all deposits at least once before withdrawing them.
• Cashed may request account verification documents before processing your withdrawal. In that case, you will have no more than 30 days to provide the casino with the following documents:
  • A copy of a government-issued photo ID
  • A selfie holding the ID document
  • A bank statement or utility bill

The selection of online slots available from Cashed is solid. It’s also over 9,000 titles strong. The library is decently organized into categories like bonus buy slots, instant games, and megaways slots, but I’d like to see the Cashed add others for categories like high RTP slots, cluster slots, and cascading slots, as well as for themes, such as ancient games, adventure games, fishing games, and others.

User experience at Cashed

Does the casino take care of its players who have problems? Is navigation around the website easy? Can I play at Cashed on my mobile device? These are the questions I answer to assess Cashed’s user experience.

Cashed’s customer support

Cashed has a thorough Help Centre with a plethora of FAQs. There is a 24-7 live chat that was prompt to respond, but not incredibly helpful at answering our questions. There are 2 email addresses, one for general support and the other for the casino’s Data Protection Officer. Players can also connect via the casino’s Telegram channel.

User navigation at Cashed

Cashed is a casino that looks like money. The casino’s green background with gold highlights is no accident. The details in the background add a subtle elegance to the clean-looking website. The navigation is made easy by the design of Cashed’s interface.

I do wish the casino did a better job organizing its game library into more categories and themes, though, as that would help players uncover games they might like that are unknown to them.

Cashed’s mobile experience

Cashed is ready for play on the go. The casino’s website is completely optimized for phones and tablets, on par with many of the best mobile casinos. 

What Cashed doesn’t offer that many of them do, though, is a mobile app. Players who insist on downloading an app to their device will need to look elsewhere.

Besides the casino’s look, nothing is particularly impressive about Cashed’s user experience, but nothing goes wrong either.

In this section, my Cashed review accounts for the public’s view on the casino. I read TrustPilot, AskGamblers, Reddit, social media posts, and other online sources for a general sense of the public opinion on Cashed.

Lookin’ like money

Cashed looks, well, cashed. Like, it’s dripping in green and gold and extravagance. The design of the casino is excellent. There was a lot to like here.

Nearly 9,500 games, we can say that again: there’s a lot to like here. That includes a boatload of exclusive games, numerous versions of live tables, and a Gold Saloon for higher rollers. Cashed really provides players in Canada with an incredible game library.

A solid welcome bonus greets players to Cashed, but the casino comes with regular offers to keep the experience sparkling: two weekly reload bonuses, live cashback, and regular cashback as part of the VIP program.

The casino accepts a long list of popular cryptocurrencies, but fiat users will have a slightly less convenient time, especially Visa users (Cashed does not accept Visa!). So, the casino certainly isn’t always perfect.

Still, there was a lot to like, leaving my Cashed review to conclude with a 66/100 final rating.
