MetaWin licensing, responsible gambling, and security

MetaWin is regulated by a recognized licence and has essential security features in place, although it lacks Responsible Gambling features I want to see.

Responsible gaming in MetaWin

MetaWin’s Responsible Gambling page needs to be updated, as it says the casino is currently licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board, which is the casino’s previous regulator. MetaWin is now licensed by Anjouan Gaming, so that needs to change.

Gamble Aware is linked to professional support, along with its self-assessment test. There’s a list of tips to help players exercise safe gambling practices, like setting deposit and time limits for yourself, but MetaWin doesn’t offer self-limiting tools on its platform.

Self-exclusion is the only tool available. This is set up by contacting customer support and giving them the time frame you want to be excluded for, starting at six months up to five years.

MetaWin doesn’t have a traditional welcome bonus, but it has other promotions on offer. Players can received personalized bonuses via email, but there’s lots more on offer, which I’ve covered below.

MetaWin free spins offer

You can claim 20 free spins every Friday. To be eligible, you need to have wagered the required amount in the casino within the last week, plus your VIP level needs to be Bronze or higher. The reward will be issued in USDT, so you’ll need to change your account currency to USDT to benefit.

The required wagering can sit anywhere between $500 and $1,000 (USD), but it will vary from week to week. Free spins expire 48 hours after being awarded, and winnings have a 1x wagering requirement.

MetaWin rakeback offer

With MetaWin, you’ll automatically earn a percentage of the house edge back from your gameplay. This will be credited to your rewards page, and you have to claim it within 24 hours.

MetaWin prize funds

With the Prize Funds promotion, you can get 30% extra on every deposit. Prize Funds can be used to enter any competition on MetaWin, which includes Drops every five minutes, daily and weekly competitions, and Friday Fire. Prize Funds can only be used when your real money balance is at zero across all currencies. 

MetaWin tournaments and promotions

MetaWin has plenty of in-house tournaments running:

• Tartarus Max Win: be the first player to hit the max win of 15,000x on Tartarus, ends 01/01/2027

Players can also take part in leaderboard competitions to earn points and compete for rewards, and MetaWin hosts giveaways on X and the Discord channel.

MetaWin loyalty program

MetaWin’s VIP program is invite-only. There isn’t a lot of detail on the exclusive Red Room, but the program offers personal service and big rewards. It’s not clear if there’s another loyalty program somewhere, since it says you need to have a Bronze level to take part in the free spins offer.

Payment methods in MetaWin

MetaWin is a crypto casino and therefore only accepts cryptocurrencies. Traditional casino payment methods aren’t accepted.

Cryptocurrency payment methods at MetaWin

Ethereum and Solana are the main supported cryptocurrencies at MetaWin, but cryptocurrencies that run on the supported blockchains are accepted. These are the cryptocurrencies you can use:

Payments are instant since they’re made using crypto, although all transactions require blockchain confirmation, which can take over an hour. 

You can fund your MetaWin account in two ways:

• Web3 wallets: connect your MetaMask, Coinbase, Plantom, or WalletConnect wallet to swap crypto directly.
• External crypto: fund your account with any external crypto wallet or exchange.
  

The minimum amount you can swap into your wallets is 0.0002 ETH, or the equivalent in another cryptocurrency. The minimum amount that you can swap out is $10 USD (or CAD equivalent).

Swapping into your Web3 wallet includes network gas fees. Withdrawals include an additional 0.005 ETH fee to cover transactional gas, and swaps out have a maximum limit of 5 ETH per 24-hour period.

How to withdraw from MetaWin

The Web3 wallet allows for direct withdrawals, but if you prefer to use an external wallet, this is how to do it:

• Prepare your wallet address.
• Click the wallet button.
• Follow the steps to send your funds from your MetaWin balance to your external wallet.
  

Other important information to know when withdrawing

• The maximum withdrawal amount within a 24 hour period is $10,000 USD (or CAD equivalent) when using external wallets. When using a Web3 wallet, the maximum is $20,000 USD (or CAD equivalent).
• Verification can be requested at any time.
• To minimize costs for network gas fees, make your transactions during off-peak hours, group them together, and monitor gas prices before confirming.

Although MetaWin doesn’t require verification for registration, they can request it at any time. This is what you’d be asked for:

User experience at MetaWin

Coming up is my experience using the MetaWin platform, which includes its customer support service. Although I was hoping for more support options, the level of support I received was more than sufficient.

MetaWin’s customer support

MetaWin’s customer support team is only available via live chat, since email and phone support aren’t available. The live chat is initially operated by a competent chatbot, and members can be put through to a human agent within minutes. MetaWin also encourages players to raise support tickets in the Discord channel.

MetaWin has a decent FAQs page that explains key features of the site, and live chat support is available in French.

User navigation at MetaWin

Getting around MetaWin is a comfortable experience, thanks to its clean UX. The site has a cool, dark, and sleek design, with a sidebar menu full of shortcuts, and the footer is loaded with all the essential legal and policy pages.

There are useful game filters, like for megaways slots or crash games, but I would like to see more of them. There is a cool feature that allows you to sort games by their RTP average over the last 24 hours that I do like, though.

MetaWin’s mobile experience

MetaWin doesn’t have a casino app, but there is a web app that you can install for immediate access.

Popularity of MetaWin

MetaWin’s feedback on TrustPilot is mixed, with an average score of 2.2 stars. The positive feedback praises MetaWin as a Web3 casino, its games and RTPs, the quick withdrawals, and the support team. The negative feedback concerns withdrawal problems after big wins, lack of RG support, issues with support agents, and accounts being shut down unexpectedly.

The Web3 evolution

MetaWin has its own approach to the online casino world, and for crypto users, this is one to check out. Cryptocurrencies are the full focus here, with the option to connect your external wallet or to use a Web3 wallet.

There isn’t a welcome bonus, which is a shame, but there are lots of tournaments and promotions to keep things interesting. More details on the bonuses and VIP program are definitely needed, though.

The games are amazing, especially with MetaWin’s own studio originals, and customer support is pretty good, although more support methods are needed. Plus, some additional RG tools would really benefit players.
