Platinum Play Review
The method guiding this Platinum Play review is clearly defined on our “How we review casinos” page. In accordance with that, the following is divided into six sections:
- Platinum Play’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
- Bonuses and offers from Platinum Play
- Payment methods accepted by Platinum Play
- Platinum Play’s game selection
- The user experience at Platinum Play
- Popularity of Platinum Play
Platinum Play’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
An assessment of the casino’s level of safety is how we begin casino reviews, so my Platinum Play review begins by investigating the casino’s licence, responsible gambling page, and security.
| Legal gambling age |
|---|
| The legal gambling age in most Canadian provinces and territories is 19 years old (in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, though, it is 18), meaning online casino operators must verify every player’s age to ensure minors do not gamble. Each province and territory is regulated provincially. For example, gambling in Ontario is regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Visit our Licensing page for more information. |
Platinum Play’s licences
Firstly, I want to see a casino’s licence. I want to find it on the website easily, and I want a link to the licence’s certification.
Not only did I find the information and certificate link easily, but I also found that Platinum Play is licensed by a Canadian regulator:
- Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC) – Licence No. 00892
A Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence is highly regarded and is a definite sign of Platinum Play’s level of safety.
Responsible gambling in Platinum Play
The responsible gambling page at Platinum Play is designed for easy use, grouping the information, resources, and tools into various tabs on the page:
- Information: basic advice and links to help organizations
- Underage gaming: a commitment to restricting gaming to those of legal age and a link to filtering software
- Self-assessment: a 9-question self-assessment test
- Deposit limits: information regarding setting daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits
- Self-exclusion: information regarding arranging a ‘take-a-break’ period or self-exclusion
Platinum Play’s responsible gambling page is extremely well organized and easy to use, but it lacks some important tools, such as settings for loss, wager, and session limits. A reality check tool would be another good tool for the casino to offer as well.
| Addiction risk: play responsibly |
|---|
| While casino games are meant to be fun, gambling can become addictive and lead to harmful consequences if players do not play responsibly. With this in mind, we encourage players to look out for signs that might indicate problem gambling: – Chasing losses – Playing for longer than intended – Gambling with more money than intended – Disguising gambling activity from other people – Borrowing money to gamble If you recognize any of these signs, consider contacting any of the following help organizations: – ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600) – Gamblers Anonymous Canada – Gambling Therapy |
What makes Platinum Play safe
I scoured Platinum Play’s website for information about its security. This is what I found:
- The licence from the KGC is an indication of a secure casino
- Secure network topology with intrusion prevention and firewall systems
- SSL-encrypted communication
- Authentication and access control
- External and internal audits
- Data Protection Officer
- Games use Random Number Generators to ensure fair outcomes and are eCOGRA-tested
- Clear Terms and Conditions and Security and Privacy Policy
Platinum Play could use a separate and more detailed anti-money laundering policy, but the casino has otherwise done a good job of being transparent about its website’s security.
My rating of Platinum Play’s licensing, responsible gambling, and security
Highlighted by its licence from a Canadian regulator, Platinum Play is trustworthy and safe, even if I’d like to see a few more responsible gambling tools.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Licenses | 7/7 | It was easy to find Platinum Play’s licensing information, and a licence from the KGC is a definite sign of safety. |
| Responsible Gambling | 5.5/7 | It’s eloquently designed, but Platinum Play’s responsible gambling page is missing a few tools. |
| Security | 5.5/6 | Safe and sound, even if Platinum Play could use a separate AML policy. |
| Secure and trustworthy |
|---|
| Earning an 18/20 rating in this section, Platinum Play has a licence that players in Canada can trust and a secure platform, even if it is missing a few responsible gambling tools. |
Bonuses and offers at Platinum Play
Sometimes, casino bonuses can make all the difference to a player for whether they join a casino or not. At this point in my Platinum Play review, I assess the casino’s welcome bonus, regular promotions, and loyalty program.
| Bonus risks |
|---|
| Players should be aware that bonuses come with wagering requirements that must be met to gain the bonus money. Often, they require players to bet the bonus amount 30 or 40 or more times over. Over 80% of players lose money with casino bonuses. |
Platinum Play’s welcome bonus

Platinum Play offers a fairly unique casino welcome bonus. The offer includes a match bonus of up to $800 and 10 free spins a day with the first 3 deposits of at least $10.
What’s unique about the offer is the 10 free spins per day clause. That’s 10 free spins on a $1,000,000 jackpot for 30 days after the last deposit.
The welcome bonus from Platinum Play works like this:
| Deposit | Match % | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 100% | up to $400 |
| 2nd | 100% | up to $200 |
| 3rd | 100% | up to $200 |
10 free spins a day for at least 30 days is 300 free spins if my math is correct. On a massive jackpot. Very cool.
The wagering requirements are 35x. That is solid too. Apparently, according to Platinum Play’s support, there is no set time players are given to meet the wagering requirements.
It’s difficult to find much wrong with this offer. Sure, I’d like larger max amounts, but this offer is great for the majority of players. Deposit the amount you want, and then enjoy the 10 free spins per day.
Pretty dope if you ask me.
Promotions and tournaments
When it comes to other promotions, Platinum Play offers a revolving selection of weekly and monthly promotions that include draws, spot prizes, and daily giveaways. The casino is known for giving away international travel and luxury vehicles, along with more typical casino bonuses, like free spins, reload bonuses, and cashback bonuses.
I did not find any tournaments running during my Platinum Play review.
Platinum Play’s VIP/loyalty program
I had to ask for support to locate information about Platinum Play’s loyalty program. There is no mention of it on the website until you register for an account.
Once I found it, the loyalty program at Platinum Play offered some pretty great VIP casino bonuses across its 6 levels, including increased takes on certain games and increased loyalty point win rate.
Here’s how the loyalty program at Platinum Play looks:
| Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum | Diamond | Privé | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Loyalty points req’d | 0 | 2,500 | 12,000 | 50,000 | 125,000 | Invite only |
| Loyalty points earn rate | Even | +3% | +6% | +8% | +12% | +15% |
| Loyalty specialty | 15% | 25% | 50% | 75% | 100% | 120% |
My rating of bonuses available at Platinum Play
Platinum Play’s good welcome bonus is supported by few regular offers or promotions, and information on the loyalty program is a bit sparse.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome Bonus | 6/7 | The Platinum Play welcome bonus is a solid offer with a unique setup. It’d be better if it were for a larger amount or had even friendlier terms. |
| Regular Offers | 1/4 | There is a revolving variety of daily promotions, but details about them are sparse, and there are no tournaments either. |
| VIP/Loyalty Program | 1.5/4 | It was difficult to find information about the Platinum Play loyalty program, and the information wasn’t particularly impressive when I did find it. |
| I wish there were more |
|---|
| A good welcome bonus is enough to help Platinum Play receive an 8.5/15 passing grade for the casino’s bonus program. |
Payment methods at Platinum Play in Canada
Platinum Play accepts many of the most popular fiat casino payment methods in Canada. I wish the casino accepted more for withdrawals, though. These are the payment methods Platinum Play accepts in Canada:
| Payment Method | Min Deposit | Max Withdrawal | Average Deposit Time | Average Withdrawal Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Interac | $10 | $9,999/day | Instant | 2-7 business days |
| Visa | $5 | $9,999/day | Instant | 2-7 business days |
| Mastercard | $5 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Paysafecard | $10 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Google Pay | $10 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| eCheck | N/A | $9,999/day | N/A | 3-7 business days |
| Financial risks |
|---|
| This is a reminder that gambling involves real money and, therefore, financial risk. Casinos do not open their doors without being favoured to win, which means most players lose over time. This is a reminder to set limits before playing and only gamble what you can afford to lose. |
Minimum deposit and withdrawal processing times
The minimum deposit at Platinum Play is $5 by credit card, but $10 for all other fiat methods. The minimum deposit is $35 for cryptocurrencies.
The minimum withdrawal is $50 at the casino. Withdrawal requests are held for a period of 24 hours to allow you to reverse the transaction without incurring a fee. Typically, withdrawals from Platinum Play take between 3 and 7 business days.
Cryptocurrency accepted at Platinum Play in Canada
Platinum Play accepts a long list of cryptocurrencies in Canada. Unfortunately, players cannot withdraw with cryptocurrencies. These are the cryptocurrencies accepted for deposits:
| The dangers of using cryptocurrency |
|---|
| Players should note that using cryptocurrency comes with risks. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, with their values oftentimes fluctuating rapidly. The Government of Canada, the Bank of Canada, or other financial institutions do not back crypto; it is not stable nor guaranteed, which leaves users vulnerable to losing large amounts of money. We strongly recommend setting financial limits and investing only what you can afford to lose. |
Step-by-step guide on how to withdraw from Platinum Play:
Platinum Play will ask you for verification documents to complete your first withdrawal. These documents will include the following:
- Proof of income (if applicable)
- Copy of photo ID, such as a passport or driver’s licence
- Proof of address, such as a bank statement or utility bill (no older than 6 months)
- Proof of ownership for any payment method used to deposit or withdraw funds (if applicable)
Once you’ve verified, the process to request a withdrawal is simple:
- Click the “Bank” button at the top right.
- Select the “Withdraw” tab.
- Choose your withdrawal method.
- Enter the amount to be withdrawn.
- Enter any information related to the selected payment method.
- Click “Confirm.”
Other important information to know when withdrawing from Platinum Play
Players at Platinum Play should keep this additional information in mind when withdrawing from the casino:
- To withdraw, all wagering requirements must be satisfied.
- Withdrawals are held for a 24-hour reversal period, which allows players to reverse a withdrawal request.
My rating of Platinum Play’s payment methods
Platinum Play does a reasonable job of accepting many of Canada’s most popular payment methods, but not such a good job when it comes to withdrawals.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Payment Options | 4.5/7 | Platinum Play accepts the most popular forms of payment for deposits, but not many for withdrawals. |
| Minimum Deposit & Payment Processing Times | 2.5/4 | There is a low minimum deposit, which is nice, but the withdrawal minimum is a bit high. Processing times could be faster. |
| Cryptocurrency | 2.5/4 | The list of accepted cryptocurrencies at Platinum Play is pretty good, but you can only deposit with crypto, not withdraw. |
| Not enough withdrawal options |
|---|
| You won’t have an issue depositing at Platinum Play, but withdrawing might be a different story: 9.5/15. |
Platinum Play’s games selection
When it comes to a casino’s game selection, I like to see a library that offers some unique games and a wide variety of live tables. My Platinum Play review will look at the casino’s exclusive games, online slots, live casino, and game shows, as well as at the game providers working with the casino.

| Casino games warning |
|---|
| Players need to keep sight of the fact that casino games are a game of chance. While licensed games are tested by third parties for fairness, they are also weighted in favour of the casino. Most players, therefore, lose over time. It’s why we like to remind players that casino games are a form of entertainment, not a way to make money. |
Exclusive games
Platinum Play doesn’t have a game category for exclusive titles, but it does have some listed in its library nonetheless. Games like Agent Whiskers and Spear of Athena look like a lot of fun.

Recommended slots you can play at Platinum Play
Platinum Play offers around 700 online slots, which is not a very large amount. The casino has done a good job to ensure its library is nonetheless loaded with exciting titles and hit games. Check your “For You” page to find bonus buy slots, progressive jackpots, and other categories.
I found plenty of great games in Platinum Play in Canada. These are some of my favourites:
Quality live dealer tables at Platinum Play in Canada
More than 70 live casino games are available in Platinum Play’s live casino. While not the largest selection, the library is powered by Pragmatic Play and OnAir, so quality is the main get here. Game menus for roulette, blackjack, baccarat, sic bo, and poker keep the library nicely organized. I wish there were more poker and sic bo tables, though.

Game shows you can play at Platinum Play
Platinum Play’s menu of game shows is fewer than 10 titles long, but with Pragmatic Play and OnAir Gaming fueling the live casino, the casino offers popular games, like Snakes and Ladders Live, Dice City, and Treasure Island.

Popular game providers Platinum Play works with
Only 7 game providers supply Platinum Play with games: Games Global, Pragmatic Play, Spribe, OnAir Entertainment, Hacksaw Gaming, Ready Play Gaming, and Blueprint Gaming.
My rating of Platinum Play’s games selection
Platinum Play offers players in Canada a library of quality casino games. It could be a bit bigger, though.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Games Variety | 5/7 | The game selection at Platinum Play isn’t very large, but it does offer a variety of quality games. |
| Live Casino Experience | 3/4 | Platinum Play could use more poker and sic bo tables, as well as more game shows, but it has a well-organized live casino with quality tables. |
| Game Providers | 2.5/4 | Platinum Play’s list of game providers is short, but the casino knows how to curate a list of top studios. |
| Carefully selected |
|---|
| Platinum Play has gone for quality over quantity with its library of casino games, which means it’s a good library, but could be bigger; hence, the casino’s 10.5/15 rating here. |
User experience at Platinum Play
When we talk about a casino’s user experience, we mean the customer support, the website’s organization and layout, and how well the casino functions on mobile devices. That’s what my Platinum Play review turns to now: the user experience.
Platinum Play’s customer support
Platinum Play has a Help Centre with an organized FAQ page that is decently helpful. That’s the first place to go if you need support.
I could not find a proper email address for the casino’s support team, only a complaints address. I used the 24/7 live chat to find out Platinum Play’s support email address, which is far from convenient.
Getting through to an agent on the live chat takes patience, as you will need to circumvent the unhelpful chatbot. Once through, expect to wait 15 minutes or so before being attended to.
Once I was attended to, though, I was taken care of pretty well, with the majority of my queries being quickly resolved.
| Contact: | Average Answer Time | |
|---|---|---|
| [email protected] [email protected] | 12-36 hours | |
| live chat | 24/7 availability on the casino’s website | 15-25 minutes |
User navigation at Platinum Play
Platinum Play is one of those casinos that looks one way before registering and another way after. The website works better before you’re signed in as a registered player. The navigation just isn’t as intuitive as I think it should be.
Certain links would send me back to the home page (e.g., the “withdraw terms” link in the Terms and Conditions) once I was signed into my account, but that same link worked fine when I was visiting the website as a guest. Generally, things became harder to find once signed in.
Also, the games are organized into some good categories on the “For You” page, but why can I not select those as categories?
Platinum Play’s mobile experience
While Platinum Play does not have a mobile app, its mobile experience is as solid as any of the best mobile casinos in Canada.
Menus are rearranged to accommodate touchscreen technology wonderfully. Navigation remains easy.
My rating of Platinum Play user experience
The mobile experience works to improve the overall user experience at Platinum Play.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Customer Support | 4.5/7 | It is hard to find Platinum Play’s email address. The 24/7 live chat is slow, but helpful. The casino has a good FAQ page. |
| User Navigation | 2/4 | Platinum Play becomes more difficult to navigate once you are signed in to your account. Broken links were found. |
| Mobile Experience | 3.5/4 | It’s an easy move to your mobile device with Platinum Play, despite the lack of a mobile app. |
| Helpful agents and a good mobile experience |
|---|
| Platinum Play’s helpful support agents and the casino’s solid mobile experience is responsible for much of the casino’s 10/15 rating in this section. |
Popularity of Platinum Play
The final section of my Platinum Play review tries to get a sense of the public opinion of the casino by scouring Trustpilot, Reddit, social media, and the internet at large.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
|---|---|---|
| Player Reputation | 6.5/10 | Platinum Play is seen mostly positively, although the casino does have its haters. |
| Market Visibility | 5.5/10 | Platinum Play has been around for a long time. It has over 3,000 followers on Facebook, but fewer than 300 on Twitter. I would have expected to see more reviews, as well. |
| In the mushy middle |
|---|
| Platinum Play is viewed by the public as a playoff bubble team, which isn’t bad at all and sounds exactly like a 12/20 rating. |
Reliable, but not at everything
I always feel most comfortable playing at casinos with a licence from a Canadian regulator, as Platinum Play does from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. It’s a definite sign of reliability.
That reliability didn’t necessarily carry over to every other aspect of the casino, although it did for many. The first and arguably most important aspect it carried over to is with the games. Platinum Play has made a big effort to fine-tune its library, to not overwhelm players with choices, but ensure the choices players have are good choices. You can see this in the small but mighty live casino, for example.
It carries over to the welcome bonus, which has fair terms, a good match percentage, and daily free spins on a $1,000,000 jackpot. It’s as solid as the live tables.
But bonuses are where Platinum Play begins to falter, as other promotions are lacking or information about them is cloudy. The same can be said about the loyalty program.
I would love for the user experience to be more consistent, too. With a few other minor issues, my Platinum Play review concludes with a 68.5/100 final rating.
