Player safety is at the forefront of our casino reviews, which is why my Richville review begins by inspecting the casino’s licence, responsible gambling resources, and implemented security.

I should be able to scroll down to the bottom of a casino’s home page and find the casino’s licence and a link to its certificate, and that is exactly what I found for my Richville review:

Responsible gambling in Richville

Richville has a good responsible gambling page. The casino provides quality information, including tips and advice, and several useful resources, like a link to a self-assessment test and links to help organizations and parental control filters. Players can also contact support to arrange a self-exclusion of 6 months to 5 years.

The page is good but misses things, especially responsible gambling tools. Part of Richville’s advice to players includes setting deposit and time limits, which are two tools the casino should provide the players, but doesn’t. I would like to see Richville add tools for setting limits to losses and wagers, as well as for setting reality checks, too. Also, what if I want to self-exclude for less than 6 months; maybe I want just a 2-week break: why can’t I arrange some sort of cool-down period for less time? 

After speaking with Richville’s customer support, I learned that the casino does, in fact, offer deposit, loss, and wager limits that can be set by contacting support. That’s great, but why are these tools not mentioned anywhere on the website? I can’t weigh these hidden tools as heavily for this review as I would if they weren’t hidden.

What makes Richville safe

I’m happy to see Richville is a secure and transparent casino, but I would like it to add more responsible gambling tools.

Bonuses and offers at Richville

Casino bonuses can make all the difference for some players. They want to see a selection of reload bonuses, free spins offers, cashback opportunities, and numerous VIP program benefits. Here, I turn my Richville review to the casino’s bonuses, inspecting the welcome bonus, regular bonuses, tournaments, and the loyalty program. 

Richville’s welcome bonus

If you’re trying different casino welcome bonuses, you might want to stop and give this one a ride. New players at Richville can claim a 100% bonus of up to $1,500 and 100 free spins with their first deposit of at least $30.

The free spins are awarded on the industry hit, Gates of Olympus 1000 from Pragmatic Play, and come with 40x wagering requirements. Getting them for that game is great; the requirements are about the standard amount, so fine. Bonus money comes with a 35x wagering requirement, which is better. All requirements must be satisfied within 10 days, which isn’t bad either.

Richville makes a pretty reliable welcome offer here: a good percentage match and up to a good amount, with a good number of free spins on a hit game with reasonable terms. That’s solid.

Richville’s regular bonuses

Richville complements several one-time-only casino bonuses with a weekly free spins offer:

• 333 FS: All players can take advantage of a one-time offer of 333 free spins: 111 on Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, 111 on Le Pharaoh, and 111 on Trinity Gold Link: Running Wins. The free spins come with 35x wagering requirements, and the offer is available with a minimum deposit of $120. 

• Spin Fest 500: Players can also take advantage of a one-time offer for 500 free spins, 100 each on Gates of Olympus 1000, Duel at Dawn, Sugar Rush 1000, Le Bandit, and Diamonds Power: Hold and Win, respectively. This bonus requires a minimum deposit is $150, and the free spins come with 35x wagering requirements. 
  

• Monday Express: Every Monday, players can qualify for Richville’s 10,000 free spins giveaway by placing an express bet of at least $60 with a minimum of 1.80 odds for each event. The biggest winners can take home 125 free spins.
  

Richville has some unique bonuses, but given that the majority are one-time-only promotions, I think the overall offering is kind of weak. I’d like to see more regular bonuses, and certainly more reload bonuses.

Promotions and tournaments

I found two tournaments available during my Richville review. One was an in-house tournament for 10,000 shop coins, and the other was a network competition with a prize pool of €30,000. Ideally, Richville adds more tournaments in the future.

Richville’s VIP/loyalty program

The loyalty program at Richville offers players several VIP casino bonuses, but the most appealing reward is the program’s cashback bonus. The more players play at the casino, the more they climb the program’s 6 levels towards a cashback percentage of 20%. Other benefits include a personal manager and a special offer.

I love VIP programs that revolve around cashback bonuses, so Richville’s is a good one. That the wagering requirements improve as you climb to higher levels is a nice touch to the program, although I would like to see more benefits overall.

A good welcome bonus isn’t supported with the same quality of regular bonuses, even if the VIP cashback program is great.

Payment methods at Richville in Canada

Richville accepts a long list of casino payment methods for deposits, but very few for withdrawals. These are the payment methods Richville accepts in Canada:

Minimum deposit and withdrawal processing times

The minimum deposit amount and maximum withdrawal amount are the same at Richville: $30. It’s a bit high for a deposit minimum, but reasonable for a withdrawal minimum.

The maximum withdrawal amount is $750, and Richville generally takes 3 days to process them, although certain payment providers can delay the process for additional days, especially over the weekend or holidays.

Step-by-step guide on how to withdraw from Richville

Richville requires players to verify their identity before processing a withdrawal (and I cover this just below). This is a one-time process that should take no longer than 48 hours. Once verified, players can request a withdrawal by following this process:

1. Click the orange wallet button in the top right.
2. Select the “Withdraw” menu on the left sidebar in the pop-up window.
3. Select the payment method you wish to withdraw with.
4. Enter the withdrawal amount.
5. Click “Withdraw.”
6. Enter the necessary banking information requested in the pop-up window.
   

Other important information to know when withdrawing

Verifying your account with Richville is simple. Players need to share the following documents with the casino:

I always get a little more excited for this section of the review: let’s turn my Richville review to the casino’s games! I look at Richville’s online slots, live casino, game shows, and their providers.

Richville has done a superb job of organizing its online slots library into numerous categories. The casino has collections of themes, like “Detectives,” “Egypt,” or “Horror nights,” as well as collections for game mechanic, like high volatility slots, megaways slots, and bonus buy slots. The organization is important, too, because Richville has over 7,000 slot games in its library. 

We’ve already seen that it has big hits, like the Gates of Olympus titles, but it also has some of my favourite games in Phoenix DuelReels, Pirots 4, and Big Bamboo.

Numerous live dealer tables at Richville in Canada

Richville’s live casino is wedged with quality live tables from leading live studios, like Pragmatic Play and BetGames. The collection has numerous options for blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and poker. The library lacks organization, though.

There is no filter game shows in Richville’s library, but the casino certainly offers live game shows in Canada. I found Dice City, Agent Spinity, Ways of Disciple 2, Casa de Lama, Spaceman, Condum Hub, Coins of Ra, and Sweet Bonanza Candyland, among plenty of others.

Richville has enlisted nearly 70 game providers to supply its casino with games. The roster includes heavyhitters, like Play’n Go, Playson, and Spinomenal, as well as some of my personal favourite studios in Hacksaw Gaming, Elk Studios, and Yggdrasil. It’s a solid list, even if I have seen larger.

Richville offers players in Canada a library flush with exciting games and numerous options. I wish the live casino were as well organized as the online slots are. 

User experience at Richville

Will the user experience stand up to industry standards? Will it be better? This is the question my Richville review now tries to answer by looking at the casino’s customer support, player navigation, and mobile experience.

Richville’s customer support

Richville has a Contact page with two email addresses, one for support, the other for the finance department, and a 24/7 live chat. 

There is also a FAQ page at Richville, although it is limited to 7 questions. The support agents were friendly, but not the quickest to respond, leaving me for extended periods. When they returned, they did have good responses to my questions, though. Providing two email contacts is nice.

User navigation at Richville

Richville is organized in a usual way, with a left sidebar that anchors navigation around the website. The online slot library, as mentioned above, is phenomenally organized, with numerous game categories to search through. The live casino, annoyingly, has no organization. 

I noticed a frustrating glitch when using the search bar. Using the spacebar sees the cursor move ahead and then back to its original position when first used, so you need to hit the spacebar twice, essentially (unless you type super-fast: then you can trick the website into keeping the space).

It’s an annoying blemish on an otherwise excellent user experience.

Richville’s mobile experience

The best mobile casinos offer players in Canada a seamless mobile experience, and Richville follows their lead with a website that is fully optimized for mobile devices. 

Unlike most of the best mobile casinos, though, Richville does not have a mobile app. Still, the mobile experience is as smooth as any of the best casino experiences I’ve had on my mobile device.

Popularity of Richville

In this section of my Richville review, I turn to the public, checking Trustpilot, AnswerThePublic, and Reddit, to get a feeling for the public’s opinion of the casino.

Want rich, rich, rich?

I have to say, some thoroughly annoying small things hold Richville back from being a truly great online casino. Where it does incredibly well, it also wavers, spoiling perfect marks.

Take the casino’s acceptable payment methods as an example. There are numerous methods available, including an impressively long list of cryptocurrencies, for depositing. Withdrawals are another story, though, with many fewer options available. Why the sudden limitation?

How about the bonus program? A solid welcome bonus is complemented by a good loyalty program featuring cashback of up to 20%. Great. There are a couple of one-time-only free spins offers, and an additional weekly free spins offer, but that is it otherwise: no weekly reload bonuses and very few tournaments. Huh? Where’s the rest of the program? 

In basically every aspect, Richville is rich, rich, rich, and then flops.

The casino almost doesn’t do this when it comes to its game library, though. The more than 7,500 games in Richville’s library are impeccably organized into numerous categories. The live casino is loaded with countless live tables. But then the live casino isn’t organized at all, which is simply odd, considering how well the slots are organized. Frustrating.

Perhaps the most frustrating way that Richville flops is with its responsible gambling tools. The casino has good, useful RG tools, but it never mentions them, and players have to ask to use them (even though they don’t know they’re there). Why have these tools if you are not going to let players know they exist? Especially when the responsible gambling page talks about the very things the (hidden) tools provide. 

The casino is so good in so many ways, though, and the frustrations are all generally small, so I feel right concluding my Richville review with a 74.5/100 final grade.
