Canadian casino game developer, Evolution Gaming, has announced a partnership with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation to launch Mega Ball, as BCLC hopes to enhance the online gambling experience of its customers. Under this partnership, BCLC becomes the first North American client to launch Mega Ball on its PlayNow online platform.
The Mega Ball is a highly immersive and game-style online title, the first of its kind in the Canadian market. Currently, the only regulated sports betting, online gambling, and lottery website in the province of B.C. are owned and operated by BCLC via its PlayNow.com platform. This is the only platform in the state that reinvests its profits into local community groups, education, and healthcare.
What’s more, it features the important player protections to minimize the likelihood of getting a gambling problem.

Mega Ball is suitable for BCLC’s comprehensive iGaming collections, such as dream Wheeler by Evolution and live table games. The new game incorporates exciting features, which makes it acceptable among players outside the North American markets. It’s hosted by a live game presenter and aired in a cool studio.
The Chief Commercial Officer of North America at Evolution, Jeff Millar, commented that the partnership with the Crown is growing well and that adding Mega Ball is another important step to strengthen the bond between the two companies.
Meanwhile, the COO of BCLC, Dan Beebe, said the exciting and captivating features of Mega Ball would make it an instant hit for players. He also said adding this game title will help provide players with an enhanced online gambling experience.
BCLC Milestones in 2023
BCLC has been busy improving its service delivery and forming new partnerships to enhance its players’ online betting experience. So far, the Crown corporation with MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have struck a five-year contract renewal. Through this agreement, the two companies can use Crown’s GameSense player protection program to facilitate their brick-and-mortar and online casino operations.
