Sugar Rush 1000 Review

Sugar Rush 1000 is Pragmatic Play’s supercharged take on its Sugar Rush candy slot, with multiplier spots that climb to x1,024 and a max win of 25,000x your bet. We played it for real money and checked every figure on this page against the in-game rules and Pragmatic Play’s game page on October 29, 2026.

The setup is a 7×7 grid where clusters of 5 or more matching sweets pay, and every winning spot gets marked for a multiplier. Two buy options take you straight to the free spins, at 100x and 500x your bet.

OPINION: Sweet, playful and pricier to start

It’s really playful, with all the candy symbols we’re accustomed to, and the tumbles keep things moving. The minimum bet starts at 20 cents, which is a bit pricier than the Hacksaw games I played alongside it. I like that there are three levels of turbo spins.

Sugar Rush 1000’s symbols and payouts

Sugar Rush 1000 plays on a 7×7 grid. Symbols pay in blocks of at least 5, connected horizontally or vertically, and every winning block explodes so new sweets can tumble in.

Game symbols

There are seven regular symbols. The three gummy bears (orange, purple and red) pay the least, followed by a green star, a purple jelly bean, an orange heart and, at the top, a pink lollipop. The only special symbol is the Scatter, a gumball machine that can land on any reel and triggers the free spins.

Number of paylines

There are no paylines. Sugar Rush 1000 pays for clusters of 5 or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically, anywhere on the grid.

Payouts

Without multipliers, five of the cheapest bear return a fifth of your bet. Clusters only get interesting from 13 symbols up, which is why the multiplier spots matter so much.

Min/max bet

In the version we played, Sugar Rush 1000 takes bets from $0.20 to $20 per spin. Other casinos may set a different maximum, so check the bet menu before you play.

Maximum win

The max win is 25,000x your bet in both the base game and the free spins, or $500,000 at the $20 max bet in the version we played. When a round reaches the cap, it ends immediately, the win is paid, and any remaining free spins are forfeited.

RTP and volatility

Pragmatic Play’s game page lists an RTP of 96.00%. The casino where we played runs a lower version: the info screen shows 94.50% for regular play and Buy Free Spins, and 94.45% for Buy Super Free Spins.

The game is labelled high volatility, which the rules describe as paying out less often on average, with a better chance of big wins in a short time span. It sits alongside the other high volatility slots we’ve reviewed.

What happened when we played for real money

We played Sugar Rush 1000 with stakes from the $0.20 minimum up to $1 per spin. A higher stake scales the wins, but it doesn’t change the odds of hitting them. The game took a little longer to load than the Hacksaw slots, partly because of the pop-ups for Pragmatic’s Daily Tournaments, Drops & Wins and weekly wheel drop.

In the first 10 spins, we had a couple of small wins, with tumbles stringing three or four wins together, but none of them covered the stake. Multiplier spots appeared on the grid, yet the wins stayed small even with them. Twenty to thirty spins in, there was still no sign of the free spins.

OPINION: Easy wins, small wins

The wins are not that hard to come by, although they’re pretty small, even with those multipliers. I was 20 to 30 spins in and just not much, not even near the bonus or any other round like that.

Sugar Rush 1000’s slot special features

We saw the tumbles and the multiplier spots in play. The free spins and both buy options below are based on the game rules, since the bonus didn’t land and we didn’t buy it.

Tumble feature

After every spin, winning combinations are paid and the winning symbols disappear. The rest fall down, new ones fill the gaps from above, and the tumbles continue until no new wins appear. Base game wins are added to your balance once the whole sequence is over.

Multiplier spots

Every time a winning symbol explodes, it marks its spot on the grid. The second explosion on the same spot adds an x2 multiplier, and every further explosion there doubles it, up to x1,024. The multiplier applies to every winning combination that lands on it, and if several multipliers sit in the same cluster, they’re added together.

In the base game, marked spots last only until the tumbling sequence ends.

Free spins

During the free spins, marked spots and their multipliers stay in place for the whole round and keep growing with new tumbles. Landing 3 to 7 scatters again adds the same 10 to 30 extra spins, and special reels are in play during the feature.

Bonus buy

There are two buy options, both on the left of the grid.

At the $20 max bet, the buys cost $2,000 and $10,000. Super Free Spins starts every spot at x2, which skips the first marking step on all 49 positions. Even so, the max win is 50 times its price (25,000x against 500x), and the RTP is slightly lower than the regular buy. Our bonus buy slots page lists more games where you can skip the wait.

Sugar Rush 1000 is set in a pink candy land with gumball machines, lollipops and peppermints around the grid. The symbols are glossy jelly sweets, and the scatter is a gumball machine.

Sugar Rush 1000’s mobile experience

Sugar Rush 1000 looks great in portrait mode. The 7×7 grid loads at full size, so there’s no need to zoom or move the screen, and the controls sit in a row below the two buy buttons. Every button is bigger than on desktop, which makes it easy to change your bet and switch between coins and cash in the Credit and Bet labels.

The trade-off is that the grid is smaller than on desktop, which you notice on a 49-position grid. The features are otherwise identical. The casino’s mobile site also has a search button at the bottom for jumping between games, but opening another game closes the current one.

OPINION: Bigger buttons, smaller grid

The game looks great in portrait mode, mainly because all the buttons are larger, so it’s easy to configure the game, especially the credit. The grid comes in at full size, and there’s no need to tweak anything or move the screen. The only thing is that the grid is smaller, and that affects it a bit. Other than that, everything is the same as in the desktop experience.

We opened both games’ rules where we played. The 1000 version keeps the same grid and free spins, but raises the multiplier ceiling eightfold and the max win fivefold.

Both versions paid 94.50% where we played, so the choice comes down to ceiling and stakes. Pick Sugar Rush 1000 for the x1,024 multipliers, the 25,000x max win and the Super Free Spins buy. Stick with the original if you want to bet up to $100 a spin, or prefer a single, simpler buy option.

Solutions if you have issues with Sugar Rush 1000

1. Give it a moment to load. The game takes a little longer to open, partly because of the tournament and Drops & Wins pop-ups. Close them once the grid appears.

Sweet tooth required, patience too

Sugar Rush 1000 keeps everything that made the original popular and pushes the multipliers to x1,024, with a 25,000x ceiling to match. The tumbles keep the base game busy and playful. However, the version we played runs the 94.50% RTP version, the wins in the base game are small, and the bonus can take a long time to land.
