The North American Gaming Regulators (NAGRA), together with The Gambling Regulations European (GREF), have signed a partnership with the purpose of strengthening gambling regulations.

Thanks to a unified force, the partnership means that the entities will have shared knowledge and support so as to bring forward a more positive gambling culture that goes hand-in-hand with always securing casino gameplay within stricter walls towards user safety.

“To Improve the protection of our consumers.”

This newly bound relationship is bringing together over 100 regulating bodies and organizations from both North America and Europe. The collaboration will include supporting each other in annual conferences in consultation processes about safer play, as well as organizing, contributing and engaging in ongoing discussions about risk predictions

Chair of GREF Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin specifies how “collaboration will improve the protection of our consumers.” She also specified how, with the increasingly expanding gambling market that also brings forth new technologies, it is relevant and crucial; as ever to join forces worldwide to have the manpower to deal with the risks involved with new technologies.

More About NAGRA and GREF

NAGRA is a regulatory association that unites the states, provincial and tribal governments in North America and acts as a unified voice to push forward gambling policies and legislations within the areas

GREF incorporated the same concept as NAGRA but in Europe. They incorporate strict supervision of casino operators as well as push forward for legal gambling regulations.

All the casino reviews are properly authorized by the same members of these regulatory associations – as clearly necessitated by Canada’s Gambling Laws.

Gambling Awareness: Staying in the Green

At CanadaCasino, we believe that the best way to enjoy online gaming is to stay informed and in control. In the Canadian market, gambling should always be viewed as a form of paid entertainment, much like a movie ticket or a hockey game—never as a source of income.

The Golden Rules of Responsible Play

To keep your experience positive, we recommend following the Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines developed by the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction:

  • Set a Hard Budget: Only wager what you can afford to lose. Once that “entertainment fund” is gone, it is time to log off.
  • Time Management: Use your phone or casino tools to set session timers. It is easy to lose track of time when you’re on a roll.
  • Avoid “The Chase”: Trying to win back losses is the most common pitfall. Accept a loss as the “cost of play” and walk away.
  • Play Sober and Focused: Never gamble when you are stressed, upset, or under the influence of alcohol or substances.

If you ever feel that gambling is no longer just entertainment, it’s important to know that help is available. Independent organizations like GambleAware provide free, confidential advice, tools, and support for anyone looking to understand their gambling habits better or seek professional help.
